Please change the teabags you use at breakfast, they were like grey dishwater.

In the centre of the city. Parking around the back of the hotel. The hotel is old and was once probably very grand, but it was clean the staff lovey and a good help yourself cooked breakfast. our room was newly decorated with king bed, good shower, nice towels, TV, tea n coffee, hairdryer etc. It was good value for price we paid for a last minute night away.

My partner is severely slight impaired. The lighting in the rooms was barely adequate. The 1st room we were given had sloping ceilings on both sides with my spouse hitting his head quite hard as we entered the room. The staff being really helpful moved us immediately to a more appropriate room. The lighting in there was still somewhat dimmer than was adequate.

Staff were brilliant especially the night receptionist and Bryony the morning receptionist. The welcome and lighting in the public areas was perfect

The hand held shower wouldn’t hook up on the wall, but not a big problem.

It was value for money. It’s an old property which is dated but it is very clean . The room ( twin ) was spacious and comfortable.

Room was located at the front of the hotel on a noisy Friday night close to a big area for local socialisation, so there was lots of drinking-related noise until the small hours. Also, on this particular floor, the third, the headroom was restricted, with a distinct possiblility of painful knocks (which didn't actually happen).

Fixtures and fittings were to high standard, as expected from a premier hotel. Bed wide and comfortable, with well-appointed bathroom and effective shower.

So there were a few cigarette marks on the bathroom flooring but that was the only complaint I had.

For the price I paid the single room was perfectly adequate for my one night stay. The room was clean and smelt fresh. The bed was comfortable and the shower and wash basin worked perfectly even if it took a short time for the hot water to come through.

If we were staying for more than a night, having a small fridge for milk etc would be great.

We booked online and was pleasantly surprised. The spacious room had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. A comfortable, clean bed. Warm shower and kettle with coffee etc. Wetherspoons just across the street is a bonus.
