Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSeriously, we were happy with what we had. If there was to be anything it was just the A30 roadworks which hampered us on one of our days out which, obviously, is nothing to do with the cabin and will be completed soon.
The peacefulness, the farm animals were fun to watch with delicious fresh eggs, thanks to Sam's chickens!!. The location was just right for us, we were happy to drive out to eat and venture to. Chapel Porth, with it's National trust car park, was 15 mins in the car, and is one of the best North Cornwall bays we have visited and we thoroughly recommend it (be mindful of the single track roads with passing points).

United KingdomMaybe a little more storage facilities for clothes. I was ok, but travelling on my own.
I liked the sight of Shetland ponies grazing in the nearby field. I liked the ease to get to the Truro City Centre. Trouble free parking. No noisy neighbours.

United KingdomOnly request I would is that it would be useful to have a light in the porch entrance.
For my wife and I this was a great find, and hopefully it will be available in the future. Very close to Truro, only just over 10 minutes to where we visit. Although not a huge bed (queen size I think) it was very comfortable, the kitchen was adequate for our needs and having a separate bedroom, unlike for example a stay at Premier Inn, was a great bonus. It was very quiet, though this could change during the holiday season as there appears to be a camping site nearby. Very friendly hosts who provided tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. Lastly it was a good price.

United KingdomThe space available was absolutely suitable for me, but might have been less than a couple would ideally have wanted
No breakfast was provided. This was not part of the package offered! The friendly and inquisitive ewes in the field close to my holiday lodge. Easy parking Easy access The availability of the hosts nearby

United KingdomAn observation rather than a complaint in the evening when watching the TV the 2 chairs are rather hard so not particularly comfy. TV in the bedroom instead of lounge would make it more snug
Good size, well furnished, very clean, very private with enclosed garden, nice n warm, close to lots of facilities. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely holiday home

United KingdomThere was nothing there that I didn't like, being a single traveller, as there was plenty of space for just me. Possibly, though, a couple might have liked a bit more space, depending on their specific needs.
The location was ideal fo the places I wanted to visit during my stay in the area. The Cosy Cabin was just that - Very Cosy

United KingdomInitial difficulty in getting to Cosy Cabin for Two; but this problem was created by the massive roadworks taking place on the A30 trunk road to convert it to dual carriageway. Road works scheduled for completion Spring 2024
Very easy to use parking facilities. No noise from neighbouring holidaymakers. The Shetland ponies as neighbours in adjacent field. The surrounding countryside. The approachability of my host, when ever I had the odd query/question about where to shop locally etc.

United KingdomBeing picky, there wasn’t a sofa, but that’s down to space and my partner is 6”1 and he found the bed a little short.
Location is fantastic, as close by to the local town and lots of local pubs. The cabin was extremely clean and had little touches like: milk, biscuits and tea & coffee. The surroundings were lovely and it was nice to wake up each day with the sounds of the farm animals. The owners were really friendly and were on hand during our stay to help with questions about the local area. Lastly, there was a welcome folder, with lots of recommendations, which we found very handy during our stay. Thank you :) would happily stay again!

United KingdomNothing.
Lovely lodge on a farm. Was warm, cosy yet spacious with access to plenty of amentities and little touches such as pack of biscuits. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. They raise miniature Shetland ponies and let us pet them whilst explaining about the species. Really recommend as a hub to explore the local area, both coasts nearby. Really positive experience.

United KingdomWould have appreciated more towels, a little more space for personal belongings, bedside light and seating with higher backs. Fine for our short stay. Had to remove (roll up) a rug from the entrance as it was not flat to the floor and could have caused a trip.
Quiet location close to main road. Ideal for our dog. Available at short notice.

United KingdomThrough no fault of the owners, extensive road works nearby on the A30 caused long queues, but these should be completed soon. Everything to do with the cabin was great!
A great location for exploring both coasts. The rural setting was peaceful and the cabin was privately positioned on the farm with its own fenced garden which was perfect for my dog. I particularly liked the fact that it was spotless.
