Whilst the quality of food of the evening meal was excellent the quantity was not. There was also no extractor fan in the bathroom so there was then excess condensation there. Whilst there was a tablet in the room for services it did not work and though there was a notice in the room referring to using the telephone in the room to contact reception, there was no telephone!

Next time I would book a bigger room as I enjoy a larger suite. This was not possible on this occasion as the hotel suites were fully booked

The reception staff went above and beyond. Very kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have had when travelling. The venue for breakfast was bright, comfortable and a great space.

The bed was too hard and only when we checked out did they suggest we should have asked for a mattress topper. We didn’t know one was available but maybe we should have made an enquiry although it was midnight when we got to bed. Some staff were good ( reception) some less so. The bar closed early for a Saturday night and we had to ask a member of staff if we could have a drink. He then forgot about us so 15 minutes later I had to chase him up. I don’t want to overly criticise but I’d suggest one or two staff members ought to be careful what they say about their duties and aspirations when residents can hear.

Its character and history were great , location was perfect and the car park was convenient

Loved the location and ambience of hotel. Check in was very efficient and a lovely room - superb breakfast. I admired after I found out looking for the marmalade in pumps - so saves plastic and waste. Especially liked the fresh fruit Strawberries /Melons and Avocado and Salmon and cheese selection and hot food lovely mushrooms, bacon and sausages.

Bar too small, dining tables small, would have preferred a walk in shower to one over the bath but perhaps I should have asked...

Signage to the toilets from the sitting areas was not obvious enough. The breakfast was a bit confused. We were directed straight to the buffet before sitting down at the table so had not seen the table Menu of Specials available to order separately. It was not clear if orders on the menu came with or without toast so we made some and of course then had too much which seemed wasteful. But we were a large party of 9 people so maybe a bit difficult for some of the staff to deal with us.

My room was a little of an odd shape, quite small, but very comfortable indeed. Loved the complimentary tour of Norwich in the old Bentley - super car to be in and very informative.

The room was underwhelming. Booked an executive double but it was right next to the cleaners' station so very noisy from early until late in the day. The water was lukewarm on the first night and the water pressure wasn't great. Poor WiFi in the room and no signal. I was planning to do some work while there but it was very challenging.

Great location — easy to walk to most places Comfortable beds and pillows Friendly staff Good aircon system and windows that open!

Tired hotel, over priced and in need of a space reconfiguration!

Seemed a little tired in the rooms, there was an event/band playing until midnight and we were not informed prior to our visit or when we arrived, noise did disturb us. The layout of the hotel is not very welcoming seemed to be a lot of empty unused spaces. Only one bar available, small and busy so didn’t go in, we could have sat in one of the other spaces mentioned but as I say those spaces seemed unwelcoming!! Staff were helpful. Just personal preference - I felt it was over priced for what was offered/provided and I wouldn’t stop there again

Positioned very well, car parking availability (at an additional cost)

The hotel is in several older buildings that are at different levels, requiring guests to go up and down stairs as they go from one part of the hotel to another. For example, the elevator is not on the same level as the check-in desk.

It was very convenient location for visiting Norwich’s historic sites. They offer a good breakfast and a nice selection of options for dinner. The complementary driving tour of Norwich was very interesting.

Rather too many stairs to get to my room. The room was a little cramped but OK for two nights.

The fact that I could park on the premises. The room was comfortable with everything I needed provided. The buffet breakfast where there was a lot of choice. Very friendly staff. Location near the centre of town and easy walking distance of the river and being right next to the cathedral.
