Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomBreakfast was awful. It was served in one of the conference rooms with communal tables for 12 (very tightly packed). Buffet was uninspiring and not very hot. Drinks in paper cups. Self service on a new level - collect your cutlet and find a spot to sit.
Location next to High St Ken tube is great and our room on the 12th floor had great views.

I stay at Copthorne for convenience and mainly cost. The rooms are very tired but bed is comfy. Bathrooms are disgracefully. Showers always leak point in the wrong direction and generally unclean. The sink plugs never work and the bath mat is dirty. Tile grouting dirty.

IrelandThe room was a little dated, although communal areas were ok. If you are looking for hotel to spend lots of time in, this proabably isn't it. It's functional, rather than having lots of facilities.
Excellent location, close to tube station and high street kensington shops, but set back so it is quiet. As a functional place to stay whilst visiting London it is a good option.

United KingdomBedroom was tired (fair enough) .. and not 100% clean (inexcusable) … had to change rooms as upon check in to original room there was somebody’s ‘bogey’ on the wall by the bed .. in a very obvious place not hidden so not sure how housekeeping could have missed it ? Changed rooms and although cleaner there were stains on the bed valance and it was very hot and stuffy even with the supposed‘aircon’ on Reception staff were very relaxed, the lady who changed my room wasn’t really that apologetic and was eating chocolates whilst serving me.
