Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandWhen we checked in, the bin from the previous guests had not been emptied. Our room was right over the train station with trains going by from 6am. The walls were very thin you could hear other guests in the next room and young children running up and down the corridors from early hours. The hotel was quite dated. It was fine if you just need somewhere to sleep while exploring the city. Quite pricy considering it is far enough outside central London.
The staff were friendly and helpful. 7 minute walk to tube station which takes you into central London.

United KingdomChecked in about 6pm. Only one person on desk. Queue got longgggg and no one came to assist The chair In the room was badly stained. Needs removing and upholstering. Either that or it's an awful pattern choice. Did not sit on it Next morning the lift broke causing bedlam and guests had to walk down the exit stairs, more bedlam as others were also using it to return to rooms. Anyone say Titanic

Since we only stay for 2 nights and have made all arrangements for our stay. what a shame...

The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was substantial with a very varied selection of foods. I liked the late checkout (noon) and the easy check-in and check-out. Great too that it was an easy stroll to the underground station at High Street Kensington.

IrelandBath to shower switch wasn’t working. Staff did call to fix but stopped working again. Was near tube line and slight noise in the morning and night but nothing so extreme that we had any issues falling asleep.
Great location, close to public transport, staff very friendly, not a new hotel but you can tell a lot of money was put into it when it was built and is kept very well. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bedroom was clean and comfortable.

Great location in the heart of Kensington, easy travel links for underground, easy to visit museums on foot. Great for leaving luggage after checkout. Tea/coffee in room appreciated. Bed was very comfortable.
