Fantastic location. Visited quite a few local attractions based from here (alton towers, Buxton, Chester Zoo to name a few). All the amenities you would need are provided for a comfortable stay. Welcome brochure provided with a little history on the property and all the useful information you would typically find. Lovely garden terrace however the weather wasn't to favourable during our stay to use it. The view was amazing to wake up to every morning. Highly recommend if wanting a quiet break or as a sightseeing/walking base. There is parking for up to three cars (1 outside and a further two just past the property off the road). Would definitely return when back in the area.

This property was ideally located for our Peak District exploration. The kitchen was very well equipped, but would benefit from a draining rack for the washing up. The front bedroom, which we used was very comfortable. Bathroom very good, although a grab rail over the bath would be useful for us older folks as you need to step into the bath to shower.

We arrived to only half a roll of toilet paper and a few sheets of kitchen paper towel - with no replacements available so we had to go out to buy toilet paper. A bit of a nuisance since half a roll would definitely not have sufficed for 4 people for 2 nights. The house is situated next to a very busy road so parking in front of the house requires some caution. Not too noisy at night though.

The house is beautifully furnished with a lot of thought, with modern and clean kitchen and bathroom fitting together with a more classic living room and bedrooms. TV in every bedroom and the living room, free Netflix and BBC iPlayer too so we did not need our own accounts. The beds are comfortable with crisp hotel bedsheets. We drove there so the more remote location is not a problem at all, it is in fact perfect for going out of Buxton to explore other parts of Peak District. Really felt like having a home away from home.

House is situated on a fast road - traffic wasn't busy but at night you could be disturbed by very fast vehicles zooming past. Just not used to it, wouldn't put us off staying again, just something to be aware of.

If you don't drive, this cottage may not be one of your choice. There is no dryer, it would be perfect if there was one. Only one bathroom, it would be perfect if there was more.

This cottage is perfect for family to visit Peak District. We can wash our clothes after hiking in the Peak District. Just 5 mins driving to the town centre and buy any necessary supplies. It's so relaxing to take a bath after exhausting hiking!

I gave a top rating on cleanliness but the cleaners did miss a patch of dust behind the living room floor lamp. Feel guilty even to mention it though. We lost the heating for a short time but the owner came out promptly to resolve (thermostat wifi issue I believe) Road was a bit noisy sometimes.

We felt right at home immediately. The view across the fields with the morning mist while having morning coffee at the living room table was excellent. The location is very convenient for access and being a bit removed from town up the hill is what allows for that view. It is of course good to be right in town but the 15 mins walk to was no bother and going the back way up the hill and through the forest made for a great adventure with the kids.

Liked everything!

Lovely warm house, spacious but cosy, well equipped with everything you could need. Modern and very clean. Great location in outskirts of Buxton.
