Breakfast arrangements might not work so well if the hotel was busy. There was no water available in the breakfast room for washing or drinking and nowhere to leave used bowls and cutlery apart from on the table, leaving it untidy for the next people. Staff didn't always check and top up supplies or clean every day so some days things ran out.

Stayed in the coach house which was self contained with separate entrance and had plenty of room for us to spread out, including a porch for our wet weather gear. There was a large bath as well as a shower and lots of hot water. Chose this as an alternative to camping as the weather was mixed, and would definitely book again. No staff on site and decor quite worn so not a luxury experience, but suited us fine for the price, clean and had everything we needed. Great value for money. The self serve breakfast was a welcome bonus, offering coffee machine, cereals, packaged pastries, juice and long life milk.

Mattress a bit lacking in depth and padding. The garden view would be improved if the pile of old mattresses and doors was removed. Its a bit strange having no staff around at all but I guess that keeps the cost down

Lovely large room with four poster bed and garden view (room 9). Big bathroom with large corner bath and shower. All very clean and comfortable and very good value Grab and go breakfast worked well - nothing fresh but enough to get me up a mountain that morning!

A bit ramped up the room. Broken lampshade, key hard to handle, drillholes in the walls... Was all still okay but could use renovation (and a bit oil for the key lock)

Nicely located house, great community spaces in the main house. A Really nice building. My room was in a wing of it, the room was OK (for the price of course). It was clean and had all you needed. A bit from the center of Kingussie but still walkable

There was no staff on site but not a problem for me, we collected our key from the box and swiftly found our room which was well sign posted/mapped out. There is no restaurant on site but also not a problem for me as we were eating out for lunch/dinner and I brought breakfast with me.

Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and warm. The harribo snack packets on the tea tray were a lovely touch as i was staying with my 7yo. The hotel was quiet and well situated in kingussie, within walking distance to the main street but far enough away to not hear traffic etc I would happily stay again.

The mattress was thin and really uncomfortable which was a shame because the room was otherwise perfect. Money spent on a good mattress in a hotel should be a priority and is never wasted! I didn’t mind that there was no restaurant or bar open at the time of visiting because I was visiting friends and dining with them.

The room was spacious with great views and it was really convenient and cheap for visiting friends.

Creaky floors and thin walls. Bed not the most comfortable. A bit of a wierd setup initially, no staff etc. No tv remote in the room.

Good location, tea and coffee facilities. Clear instructions via email. Spacious room. Fresh towels. Dog friendly. Cheap and fine for a place to sleep before hiking next day.

If I had to be really choosy it could do with a revamp but to be honest for the money I paid it was great. So much so I would stay again.

It was a great bargain and close to Newtonmore where we were walking. We stayed in Crofters wing Rm 3 it had a space for your car right at the front door which was great. The bed was comfy and it was very warm considering it was The Artic Blast !!!!

Convoluted correspondence. Multiple emails asking for arrival time. In total about 15. Attempts to let them know by reply either bounced back or were ignored. Online check-in asking for second guest name but would not allow a name to be entered. attempts to clarify by phone ended up (i think) at a call centre. No sign of a staff member during our whole stay. Awkward key collection and return. unpainted doors made it seem like a hostel, unlit gravel road to the house. Room was clean.

We slept reasonably well. Bed was spacious, bathroom clean.

The fire alarm when off when we arrived, didn’t see many staff as if was self checkin (although the self checkin is super easy). Would be nice if they had more lighting in the room. The doors could need some upgrade.

They had a separate kitchen which was free to use with a coffee machine, microwave, cereal and milk. Had coffee in room too. Heating was already turned on when we arrived which was a plus. Accommodation is close to a Co-Op to get some stuff if you need

The selection of breakfast snacks was very handy and having a coffee machine was brilliant. Location was great, especially if you have a car. Check in was very handy, just enter in a code and collect your key.

Staying in Room 11 the shower pressure was poor which meant it took longer to get sorted. The beds desperately need new mattresses as were uncomfortable (at least a topper will help).

The check in and out system suited us. We received the comms in advance and was simple to do.
