Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, location.

The one bedroom apartment with en-suite bathroom had a large open-plan living room and kitchen which was fully equipped with everything you needed. A home away from home. A wonderful welcome basket of goodies to get you started. The owner very friendly and on hand if you need anything. Set in a tranquil garden setting in very quiet location. Would recommend this lovely home.

Just only 1 bad point. Checkout was at 11:00 and we took some plus time to finish the lugagge and the cleaner woman knocks the door with bad manners. A smile always help. A map with the exact location will help

Environment is lovely, sheeps, cats, birds, rabbits, quiet place. Very good welcome pack for breakfast and comfortable house and bed. 100% recommended

We loved it all

We loved this property. It gave us perfect privacy - great parking - lots of evening sunshine in the living room and on the decking with table and chairs . Morning sunshine in the large bedroom . Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and gorgeous bedding . Lots of little extras : milk , orange juice, bagels, chocolate bars , butter, jams , hot drinks… Friendly owner - a lovely property. A short walk to Trallee beach - perfect.

The only thing that could have improved our comfort would have been a larger ( King size) bed, but the double provided was very comfortable.

Thoughtful basic supplies such as milk and breakfast essentials provided. We found absolutely everything that we needed, and the property was warm, cosy, quiet and comfortable.

I can’t really think of anything we didn’t like! If I had to find something it would only be that there weren’t any empty cupboards to put a few groceries that we’d bought, we had to leave everything out on the work surface and it would have been nice to put them away, but that’s such a minor thing!

A lovely place for a couple,very comfy, clean and cosy with little welcome touches of milk, juice, coffee and tea etc.. Great location, very quiet.

It was self catering. The beds and the settee were so comfortable. The hosts left us with milk, orange juice, bagels, butter. jam, and marmalade and coffee pods, and toilet rolls which was very welcome. We liked the mirror in the bedroom, I knew I had lost a couple of pounds but when I looked in the mirror I was 6 inches taller and seemed to have lost 1 stone , The sky was clear on a few nights and with no lighting in the area the stars were amazing. We loved it here!

Caol Ila was ideal for us. It was in a fabulous location with everything we needed for our break. Ronnie left us milk, orange juice, porridge, shortbread, tea, coffee etc and we were delighted with the fresh bagels too! It had outside seating in the sun! Is a 3 minute walk to Tralee Fish n Chip Shop, 10 minute walk to beautiful Tralee Beach where we swam, 10 minute walk to Hawthorne Restaurant in a wee cottage and 20 minutes walk into Benderloch to the Pink Shop and Ben Lora Cafe which has delicious cakes and coffee!

The biggest disappointment is the size of the apartment - when booking is given 150 square meters, and in reality is about 40.

A glass panel was missing on the decking and we got a visit from a rather annoying and noisy cat. However, these were incidental to a top place.

Very clean and comfortable, ideal location as it was nice and quiet, but still less than ten mins by car to Oban. Nice to have decking outside as we were lucky with the weather, all in all, a top venue.

Peaceful location and lovely area around for walks but still only 15 mins from Oban. Spotlessly clean place with very comfortable bed and good shower. Heating is via two electric radiators and we only needed them on for a little while to be cosy. Lots of little extras including milk, orange juice, jam, marmalade, a welcome basket with shortbread, chocolate, coffee pods and a nice surprise of two bagels. There was tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper and olive oil in the cupboard too. Large TV in living room/kitchen and smaller on in bedroom with built in DVD player (and a selection of DVDs). Nice little outdoor decked area too. Communication from Ronnie was excellent, giving easy instructions to find the place and checking we had everything we needed. Exceptional host.

Beautiful space, everything you need (and more). Ronnie is an absolutely brilliant hostess. Stayed for Valentine's and Anniversary, lovely greeting with heart-shaped balloons, bottle of prosecco, chocolates and rose petals in shape of heart on the bed and kitchen side. No expense spared to make us feel so welcome. Warm room as radiators were efficient, as was the double glazing. Kitchen has absolutely everything we needed including cafetiere (which was a bonus because we prefer this over capsule coffee...which was also available!). Croissants. Porridge. Milk. Fruit juice. Butter. Sugar, Tea, etc. Literally couldn't ask for more. Close to the local beach for a morning walk and a short-easy walk through the woods on the way back. Local enough to drive out to Glencoe and Oban has a tesco for all other essentials and a beautiful little town.

Nothing, it was perfect!

This is a gorgeous property, spotlessly clean and so cosy and comfortable...a real home from home. The hosts provided milk, fresh orange, bottled water, croissants, a fab selection of teas & coffees, jams and butter...and a big bar of chocolate! How lovely! These wee extra touches were wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Everything was perfect

An absolutely spotless, comfortable holiday home in a very nice and tranquil area. Hosts were super friendly and went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant. E.g. orange juice, croissant, milk and tea for an unexpected breakfast, a sofa which was not just a sofa but a recliner, etc. And everything brand new. Thanks to the hosts for making my stay so pleasant.
