Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSlight replenishment mishap, easily rectified within minutes. Can't fault anything. Nice people, nice hotel, nice room.
Great hotel at a great place, a stone's throw from St. Paul's Cathedral. Everything could be reached on foot or by a short underground ride. The personnel were more than helpful, our every request was met within minutes. The room was big enough for three with not one, but two TVs and a little kitchen island with a fridge (no microwave though). Tea and coffee maker with supplies. Club room if you wanted to chill with a drink (for free). Quiet, still easily accessible.

United KingdomLots of building work was going ahead whilst we were staying which meant that the main reception area and lounge was closed, this didn’t bother me but the noise was quite disruptive from in our room. I think it would have been nice considering the amount paid and for two nights as return customers to have been made aware of this before staying or offered something in return such as an upgrade or a free breakfast. Most other hotels would have done this.
The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed and are in a great spot in London. We have stayed before and would stay again.

Italy- the continental breakfast, poor and the refill very slow. I found in the 2 mornings either the juice containers or the coffee containers or the platters for sausages (only a kind of prosciutto cotto ham) and cheese (all the same assortment), those with croissants or empty baguettes and it was necessary after a while to we request that they be refueled. More attention is needed from the staff to these aspects. If you want to serve a hot breakfast, you have to pay 19 Lire - there is no refrigerator in the room - the windows are fixed, the room cannot be ventilated - no cleaning was done and towels were not changed at all during the 2 days of stay - the bells that can be heard from St Paul's cathedral I stayed 2 nights from Friday to Sunday and, unfortunately, on the night of Friday to Saturday the bells of the cathedral, which is in the immediate vicinity, could be heard all night. The bells marked not only every hour of the night but also every half hour, and even rang at three quarters of an hour; fortunately, the same thing did not happen on the night from Saturday to Sunday, then the bells rang only in the morning, around 7 o'clock. Therefore, I don't know exactly according to what rules the bells ring, but when they ring all night they are very disturbing, even and with earplugs - when we did the check-in and paid for the room, 50 pounds were withheld for the payment of the room as a guarantee for possible damages during the stay so it's good to have them with you a mention: the hotel is currently under renovation and you enter the hotel through a secondary, side entrance, not the main one
- excellent location - comfortable bed - on each floor there is a drinking water dispenser and free half-liter bottles - coffee/tea maker in the room with reserves and tea bags - they have a lounge with free coffee, water, carbonated drinks, fruit and free snacks, where you can stay, for example, during your free time or after check-out, without needing the room card to enter there - there is the possibility to leave your luggage at the reception after check-out

United KingdomThe breakfast service was appealing with waiting staff arguing with customers, the breakfast items constantly running out, staff mucking about and being childish while customers are waiting to get seat. The waiting staff need some feedback and a manager overseeing them as it’s chaos at breakfast In the same restaurant on an afternoon meal the meal was interrupted by a waiting staff complaining we were taking so long to eat and it was time to leave , while other customers were unmolested.
Hotel is superb however the breakfast is provided by the adjacent Cote restaurant. The food is delicious. The hotel Itself has been refurbished and the rooms are excellent and great value for money and the location right next to St Paul’s is awesome.

IrelandThe tv remote was missing but was not a big deal for us since we stayed out pretty much all day. If the room had a mini fridge, it would have been just perfect.
The hotel has a great location, just in front of St.Paul's Cathedral, 4 minutes walking distance from tube station and lots of bus stops just in front of the main entrance including the touristic buses. The room is spacious enough, I would say perfect size for a couple and has a nice side view of the Cathedral. I usually wake up very easily during the night so I was pleased to see that the room has double windows which made the room quiet enough to sleep through the night without getting bothered by traffic noise or by the Cathedral's bells. We liked the design of the room, the dimmable lights, the presence of many mirrors around the room, the retro style radio/alarm and especially the work station which was a dressing table opening up to a mirror and storage space for all cosmetic and accessory needs. We also appreciated the free water station available on each floor just in front of the elevators. We had nice lunch in their restaurant Cote Brasserie, the staff welcomed us on Easter day even without booking a table. Generally satisfied with our experience (so far the best we had in London) and we gladly recommend it.

CyprusThe view was not what I expected, but for the price I paid was quite okay.
The location was quite perfect for me. Two underground stations near by and you could go to various places on foot. Lots of places to see, eat and shop quite near. The St. Paul's Cathedral is a must-see if you get to stay at the hotel, and it's like a 2-minute walk there.

United KingdomThe complimentary club lounge with all day snacks and drinks wasn't up to much but given so much choice on the doorstep of the hotel this wasn't a huge issue!
The check in process was smooth The hotel is in an excellent location The room far exceeded my expectations- maybe it had recently been refurbished. It was bigger than I expected and the decor and furnishings were modern and tasteful. The bed and pillows were dreamy.

IrelandThe air conditioning didn't seem to be very effective but it wasn't a big deal as it was only April and not particularly warm
Great location near St Paul's cathedral. Easy walk to many tube stations and a lovely walk over the bridge to the Tate Modern. The Room was big by London standards and even had a kitchenette. Bright and clean and with a comfy bed. There was an iron and ironing board available which is great before going to a meeting after a long journey.

ItalyIt looks like the hotel was recently renovated and had a strong smell of chemicals outside of the room, I'm not sure if it was something on the carpet or just the paint/ wall paper. It was only in the corridors, so not much of a problem. Have that in mind in case you are allergic.
The location is central, but not super busy. The rooms are brand new, with comfortable beds, and great showers. The lighting is well designed, with comfortable scenarios, master off near the bed, and subtle details appreciated by architects. Because of the location, I decided to have breakfast outside of the hotel, which was great since there are many options right across the street.
