Classic Back rooms are small and with absolutely no views all you can see is of old broken court yard walls if you stay ask for a front sea view

The rooms and stairs a bit confusing at first. Room was bit small but adequate for a short stay.

An elegant, old-style hotel right on the promenade. Nice bathroom/toilet with separate shower and bathtub. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with all you need while overlooking the ocean. Good value and would stay here again.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. We needed to change rooms for personnel reasons, this was done without any fuss with little delay( no fault of the hotel). Highly recommend a stay here.

The windows in the bedroom were glazed so little direct sunlight. I realize the view wasn't a good one hence the glazing but it made the room a little dark. The shower tiles could have been cleaner. A full length mirror would have been a nice addition

Good location. Comfortable bed and powerful shower facilities. Lots of hot water. Good choice of food for breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. Great to have bottles of water alongside tea and coffee facilities.

The last two times I've stayed in the Claremont I've been given a room at the back overlooking an alley. I know everyone can't have a see view but the rooms were on the dark side.

The up and down steps to get to the room... Especially with a heavy suitcase 🤣 But it wouldn't stop me staying again!

The only slight complaint we had were that the bed pillows were slightly uncomfortable for both my wife and I.

The stay was overall very good. We ate at the restaurant in the evening ,food was very good quality and breakfast next morning was excellent. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really. This is my issue not really the hotel but I am currently struggling to walk up and down stairs so even if you get the lift there are still stairs that you have to go down and then up to get to the rooms.

The Claremont is an ideal place for everything. The rooms are comfortable and warm. They are a bit quirky in that the floors slope away in places, which can be a bit disconcerting when you come in after a night on the town! The breakfast is exceptional and even if you paid separately the price is reasonable for all that you get

The hotel was great value and the breakfast was one of the best I've experienced even in 5 star hotels. the staff were friendly and helpful all in all a very pleasant quick visit. i would not staff form recommending the hesitate Hotel.

It was very windy one of my nights and i could hear the draught come in the double glazing window which needs replacing. There's not much privacy in terms of noise from the corridor which woke me up and the light shining through the bottom of the door.

Great location for me for the office. Overlooks the promenade and round the corner from the high street. Breakfast is a lovely buffet with certain items like eggs benedict and avocado cooked to order. The turn down service in the evening is cute when they put chocolates on your bed and prepare your slippers. (Don't know if this is done for every room or a certain grade.)

Very noisy in the mornings with the bins being filled/emptied. Room was ridiculously hot when we arrived... Turn the heating down and save energy!

The Christmas decorations were lovely! Breakfast had lots of choice.
