Had to get door key reset a couple of times when it wouldn't open door. Maybe update that?

Nothing specifically. It's a Budget Hotel although £217 for 2 nights, no-frills doesn't seem like a budget price BUT it was holiday time and central Edinburgh so market forces prevail!

Fantastic location just at the west end of Princes St. Our room was quiet (at the back of hotel) Bed comfortable. Compared to other, comparable hotels in a similar location, it was the lowest priced. Room was clean and shower OK. We were hardly there as so much to do in town! Staff v nice and left-luggage convenient.

The TV in our room was on the wall at the side of the bed, not on the wall at the bottom of the bed, so a bit uncomfortable to watch TV. There was no mirror over the dressing table to do make up, so had to stand at mirror opposite the bathroom to do make up.

Location is excellent, close to city centre and local shops. Bed comfortable.

There was a lot of noise of the street overnight, despite being on the 4th floor it was still very loud.

The sound isolation is not that good. Could hear a lot noise during the night. Mostly street noise and outside construction (yes, overnight)

The rooms were not exactly soundproof and we could hear lots of noise from other peoples rooms the windows were also not well insulated and the noise from outside was very disruptive as there was construction occurring two nights of our stay.

Old windows let in a draft and the noise from the street was actually horrendous. The first night we stayed in a queen suite at the front of the building and the noise from the pubs was terrible. I was awake until 3am with thumping music and then a fight broke out outside in the street under our window. In the superior double at the back of the property was quieter the second night we stayed but still loud. The floorboards squeeking and noise from other guests was also noisy. Rooms are very small, not sure how small a standard double is if we were in a superior.

Staff were nice. Central location. Comfy beds. Secure luggage store. Nice decor. Lifts. Tea coffee facilities. Decent price considering how close you are to Haymarket and the city centre

The Bathroom floor had some watermarks and damage as if the room was damp for weeks, as well as some mould around the bathtub. The carpet in the room was in need of a good deep clean. A bit of a pain charging devices with the small amount of plug sockets (three in the whole room), one of which was broken.

The location was perfect for tourist activities. The hotel was lovely and warm. It was very quiet considering it was beside a tram line with pubs, nightclubs and whatnot in the area. The staff were very friendly. The Family Bunk Bed Room option was fantastic for our family of four with two young kids. Overall, a very nice experience.

The lights in the bathroom could be better and should be Heated...only de room had heat system and after the shower a little warm will ne apreciated

The beds are very confortable, even the bench bed was super confortable The bathroom was very good nice water temperature and pressure Everything was very nice. Just in front you have a big and nice supermarket and alo the bus station to the airport (only 30 min)

Affordable and clean. The location is in the heart of the city and spots. You can just walk on different spots. Beds are comfy and we have a big windows which you can see the viee outside.
