Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

I booked a dorm room which was spacious for the amount of people accommodated (10); the room, bathroom and beds were all very clean to a high standard and plug sockets at every bed so no complaints here.

PolandThe bed was a little on the hard side but we were so exhausted from our travelling that we managed to sleep soundly. The room was a little cold in the early evening, but we were assured that the heating would come on later, as it was on a timer (which it did).
This is a basic hotel which is a good base from which to explore the city for one or two nights. The room was clean and overall it was a quiet place to sleep. Very nice shower.

ItalyThe moquette gives a dirty look to everything. There’s no kitchen and that’s fine, but there’s not even a microwave to warm things up.
Staff is friendly, the position is very good, you can walk to the centre. Each bed has a light and charging station. I liked that each shared room had their bathroom instead of one single huge bathroom for everyone to share.
