My only slight disappointment was that i felt the furnishings could be a bit more comfortable and homely. Everything was practical and it felt a bit manufactured rather than antique. The addition of some more unique furnishings would definitely add to the property

I stayed at Chiseldon House for 2 weeks whilst visiting with friends and family in the UK. The staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. I loved the house and the grounds and the whole place was very clean. The location was perfect for my needs and close to a couple of great pubs

Lots of cut grass on the walkway getting stuck In our luggage. Television was not good, kept losing the signal. But really not important.

Gardens were lovely, wisteria was beautiful. Rooms were large, well appointed. Big bathroom, proper king size bed. The staff were awesome. Great breakfast.

Sadly, we felt there have been cut backs. Bath and basin plug didn't fit, so water drained away whilst in use. Toilet was clean but stained. Restaurant closed at 7.30p.m and not 8.00p.m as advertised. Breakfast had changed to self service, well cooked, but basic (no baked beans, hash browns, black pudding etc). All small niggles, which we hadn't had before.

This was our third stay as we love the hotel, grounds and ambient.

such small things but would have been nice to have a water jug and glasses in the room but these were provided straight away upon asking at reception and the square flagstone path from the carpark to front door was a bit boring and uneven.

Staff were all brilliant, respectful yet not in your face. The hotel had a grand feeling about it with big doors, high ceilings and beautiful staircase. Room was comfortable and bathroom very clean and the bath filled in no time. Enjoyed looking through the sash windows at the lovely grounds.

Nothing really. Just a bit tired in the decor dept. Prefer a real shower to a hose over the bath.

The bed was awfully hard. I had read some reviews saying mattresses were hard in some rooms and people had to request a move. So I sent a message weeks beforehand requesting not to have a hard bed as we have back problems. However the bed was hard so we didn't sleep much.

The breakfast was very good and lovely and hot was disappointed no baked beans as I like that with my breakfast. The staff are a credit to the hotel very polite and nothing was to much trouble .i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel
