Woodside rooms look tired and dated No Internet or phone connection Door card didn't work on a few occasions and nobody at reception to fix. Bathroom light would not turn off Lumpy pillows

No phone signal. Can't be helped but you know, I'm a millennial so it felt weird but might be a plus point for many.

I loved the spa. Outdoor hot tub in the rain was bliss and the little bar by the lake was gorgeous. I stayed in a cabin and it was full of rustic charm. Proper kellermans vibes (if you've never seen Dirty Dancing that will be lost on you)

It’s very dated. I got the feeling there were a lot of fixes rather than a refurb strategy. The spa is really old and needs replacing. Certainly not worth paying extra to use it.

Convenient location. Breakfast was good although the chef who came out to serve some of the food liked the sound of his own voice.

Kitchen could have been better stocked. We paid extra to go in the spa however the outside Jacuzzi was far too hot to even dip toes in.

Beautiful setting, cottage was lovely and outside area beautiful.

Definitely didn't like the lack of cleaning of ensuite toilet. I had seen cleaner toilets on trains! Brought this to attention of reception. Multiple flushes got rid of problem - I won't go into graphic detail- suffice to say that I should not have experienced this.

The room was basic but dirty . Splattered bug , crumbs, food and dust on sofa . Chair needs vacuuming. Draws all need cleaning , windows need cleaning .

The room was dirty , could do with a deep clean . Dead bug splattered on wall . There was a black sofa which had food on it aswel as dust , the draws could do with a clean too as crumbs and dirt in them . So we had to sot on the beds . I didnt complain to the reception staff as i was only staying there for a hospital visit and in too much pain from my op .

Staff were brilliant , couldn’t fault them . The reception area and bar were really nice . Bed was comfy enough .

Manning of reception in early hours as we needed some one but no one answered the phone.

Excellent location. Close to Otley and Wetherby. Peaceful serene environment for both Wildlife and people. Food good drinks very good prices. Staff ecxcelkent, Risha very helpful pleasant and cheerful same as young man on swimming desk. Steve, pool and groundsman, very cheerful friendly and helpful. To be honest we do not have enough room to mention all names but most staff very good polite and cheerful. Helpful and listen to your needs.

Staying in a standard room, it was disappointing to see trims or woodwork in shabby conditions. I will stay in a lodge next time to view the difference.

They have really cornered the market on "rustic" - emphasis on the rust. I was told they were slowly renovating. Clearly hadn't made it to the area I was allocated. Cabin was a bit tired and it had some major hot water issues. I had to play "shower skippy" - where you jump in and out quickly as it constantly goes from freezing cold to scolding hot without touching the settings. It's the second worst to having no hot water at all. When I told the front desk, they were like "yeah, tell the morning person". So I did. Apparently it will be fixed for the next person. You are welcome... Never mind that I paid full fees for a s*** shower. I booked a double bed cabin, but the cabin I was in wasn't a double bed. It was 2 single beds shoved together, and they were so old and lumpy that they didn't match in the middle. They also wobbled and squeaked when you sat on them. Two squeaky and sagging old single beds shoved together with a massive lump in the middle is not a double bed! Overall fixtures of the whole place need some attention to go from "whoa" 😬 to "wow". 😁👍 Those were really the only real gripes I had though. Lucky the spa chilled me out after that rubbish shower ...

The surrounding woodland and wildlife here were really relaxing. Sitting in the outdoor spa and watching all the ducks go by was a joy, and of an evening you can enjoy a beverage in the spa. The allocation of spa time with the room was generous and the indoor and outdoor hottubs were great. Lovely smelling eucalyptus steam room and a sauna temperature that is just right. Staff were friendly and helpful. The spa and the woodland is really the reason to come here. And it wants to be a nice spa experience, because the rooms are a bit ... Meh. Clean, tidy and not uncomfortable. The woodland views were nice to wake up to, but small and annoying issues in the room took away from the tranquility and chill vibes. Fortunately, the spa was there to set me straight...
