Accommodation was a little small, only one tea bag. No fan in the room or available from reception. Drinks were expensive.

Staff were friendly(Anne-Marie on front desk especially) , and the food was good. The cabins were warm and cosy.

We didn’t have many issues. I must admit our toilet in the bathroom didn’t flush well and took a few attempts to just get rid of tissue. Although the pool area was quiet and peaceful during the hours of which we could use them I feel paying guests (especially at the price we are paying) the pool facilities should be available at any time not just 7-10:30am and 8-9pm. Very handy having a restaurant on site however food was pretty standard and fairly overpriced and portions where relatively small.

We particularly liked how the property made us feel relaxed, the fact that it’s out of the way and surrounded by woodlands and views made us feel disconnected from the outside world and let us enjoy our time better. We enjoyed the pool and hot tubs particularly and spent a lot of time using those facilities, the rooms were decent sized and were pretty with the wood aesthetic. The staff were friendly the property seems pretty well run seamlessly.

when being told over the phone that i may be able to request an early breakfast as i would be leaving early i did exactly that, i was told that they would check and the answer came back as it would be possible, even later that evening i requested the same for my coworker and again the request was granted only to find on leaving the next morning that no one knew about it, the night porter was slightly grumpy and then informed me that the chef didn't actually get in before 7am. i went away without coffee and bacon sandwich, was not happy

The spa and pool were only available for a very limited period for hotel guests.and 15 charge is prohibitively excessive.the spa came on for 5mins only and after a long tiring day I was looking 4ward to using it and the pool.....but couldn't be fore closed

There was no WIFI in my Executive cabin, the TV aerial didn't work, so I have very limited terrestrial entertainment if I wanted it. Breakfast didn't start until 7.30-7.45am which was hopeless for me as a business traveller. Cleaners came into my room, but seemed only to tidy the bed (which was already tidy). They folded my damp robe (which I had hung to dry) and put it on my bed! I thought they had replaced with a fresh robe until I went to put it on - silly me. Finally although there was a thermostat in my room, the controls were unreadable and it did not seem to work. There was no discernible heat producing device and the spa had mould growing on it. Not made of the right material for a wooden lodge and a wood.

The location is beautiful. Tranquil expect when the aeroplanes are taking off from the near by airport early in the morning. I didn't notice after a few days. I had a hot tub with my lodge and that was a wonderful treat. The gym was adequate, the pool too small for me at 11 meters, but a nice facility all the same. The staff were consistently friendly, courteous and helpful. They are the best bit of this hotel and lodge park.

The bathroom in the cabin is rather dated, with a shower over the bath. I chose to shower at the spa. It would be great to have a walk in shower in this cabin. I also had to pay £15 extra to swim between 5 and 8 and the pool was mostly empty. It would be a lovely gesture to residents to include swimming in the cost of a room.

I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions visiting family in the area. I love the location, relaxed atmosphere, food and the pool and spa facilities. This time I stayed in cabin 69, one of the furthest from the hotel. It was spacious, comfortable and quiet.

The room could have been a lot cleaner and needed renovating, especially the bathroom. We got a very basic room with breakfast. Had I booked it directly with the hotel it would have cost us over £140 for 1 night(a sunday night). For this price I would have expected the room to be in perfect condition. The cooked breakfast was not a good standard. Rather than fresh tomatoes we were given what looked like tinned chopped tomatoes, the bacon was also undercooked.

We attended a friend's wedding at the venue and stayed the night. The staff were really friendly, the wedding was set up well and we had a great time. We thought the bed was comfortable and checking in/out was very quick.

This time I stayed in room 52, marketed as a woodland cabin for £89 including breakfast. It was very dirty and smelt of damp. It was very sunny but totally dark in the room. I didn’t use the shower or bath, just showered at the pool. It’s such a shame as the grounds are beautiful and these cabins could be lovely.

I stay here regularly as the surroundings are beautiful, the food is great and I enjoy the swimming pool and spa facilities. There has been much improvement to communal areas and some of the rooms nearest to the hotel have had new showers installed.

The food delivered to table was not good , burnt chips! dark brown to black ! yet batter on fish crisp on outside not cooked inside with main ! "pate" nice amount, one small slice of baguette ! the other two thirds ! would have to ask for more bread,

I wasn’t happy that we had booked a executive room where the description and image had shown that our room will have a upstairs area but our room did not. We had flagged this to reception and they had mentioned that this is for family rooms only. This wasn’t in the description which was disappointing when arriving to the room.

When we booked our room which was a standard, the description didn't mention that the cabin would be a split room, which caused a little problem when we could hear the couple next door snoring thru the first night, wasn't a problem the next night, which didn't effect our get away.

We liked the location, it was relaxing and welcoming. The private lake is lovely to look over especially at night where you will see the ducks. The walk around the cabins opens up some great views over farmland and the airport where you can see planes taking off and landing. As it's close to Leeds Bradford airport. The staff were very friendly and so were the patrons of the retreat, which mostly hosted wedding parties while we stayed. The price is good, you get complimentary access to spa facilities and breakfast. The bed was massive, and the tub over exceeding our expectations.The nearest towns are not far in the car and there are some great pubs around which are reasonably priced and have great food.

My room was situated off the main building in a group of 3or 4 rooms. The entrance door banged shut every time anyone opened it. Had a large bedroom, but furniture was dated, twin beds, the mattress was spring mattress somewhat uncomfortable, old tv all freeview. Hotel is 3 miles from airport so did have some planes taking off from 6am till 11ish not too frequent though. Quite noisy when other guests came and went from their rooms , was a wedding on while I was there, music loud till nearly midnight then guests standing talking outside till 1:30. Room had old windows no double glazing

Lovely location in the woods and by a lake. The en-suite bathroom were new modern nice bath and shower. Spa was very good, with gym saunas steam room outdoor jacuzzi and garden loungers. Massage was very good, relaxing. Food was good, price included breakfast. Some nice walks close to the hotel. Staff were all very nice and went out of their way to assist you.
