Standard room....very small and dark. Small things like rip in net curtain...rip in bed base and no bedside cabinet. Could be lovely but needs refurb. Was a reasonable price so got what we paid for.d

Grounds were lovely. Bed very comfortable. Dining room lovely overlooking lake. Food was good.

The accommodation was very basic, damp and in much need of modernisation. Carpet was stained and other parts in poor order. Not what we expected.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good.

Didn’t think the food /drink were particularly good value. In fact I’d say they were over priced for what they were. Especially the starters.

There was nothing I didn't like. We enjoyed our weekend, but, I was very disappointed that the spa treatment I arranged for my sisters birthday surprise was cancelled due to staff shortages! I travelled from Scotland to meet her. She works very hard and wanted her to have a wee treat!

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Feels like it's a bit tired and decor needs freshening/brightening up.

The carpark space I had was tiny which meant I kept scratching my car parking up. It’s pot luck which cabin you get. There is NO internet or wifi in the cabin / lodges, please be aware you will be cut off from the world, can’t do work or stream or your shows as it’s a black spot for reception (I’m with EE). Cabins check in at 3pm but lodges at 4pm so be aware of that. There needs to be more pictures of the cabin as I expected a dining area and kitchenette - so a bit misleading. The door didn’t feel like it was locking, so I’d turn the lock three times but then press the handle down and it would just open so I never felt like it was secure.

See above. Wouldn't book here again due to pool restrictions. Can stay locally cheaper there is no point paying your prices if we can't access facilities.

Breakfast good. Very disappointing re such restrictions on pool access- 7-10am and 8-9pm is not fair on hotel guests. Hotel blurb leads one to believe it is available more often than that

Woodside rooms look tired and dated No Internet or phone connection Door card didn't work on a few occasions and nobody at reception to fix. Bathroom light would not turn off Lumpy pillows

No phone signal. Can't be helped but you know, I'm a millennial so it felt weird but might be a plus point for many.

I loved the spa. Outdoor hot tub in the rain was bliss and the little bar by the lake was gorgeous. I stayed in a cabin and it was full of rustic charm. Proper kellermans vibes (if you've never seen Dirty Dancing that will be lost on you)

It’s very dated. I got the feeling there were a lot of fixes rather than a refurb strategy. The spa is really old and needs replacing. Certainly not worth paying extra to use it.

Convenient location. Breakfast was good although the chef who came out to serve some of the food liked the sound of his own voice.

Definitely didn't like the lack of cleaning of ensuite toilet. I had seen cleaner toilets on trains! Brought this to attention of reception. Multiple flushes got rid of problem - I won't go into graphic detail- suffice to say that I should not have experienced this.

The room was basic but dirty . Splattered bug , crumbs, food and dust on sofa . Chair needs vacuuming. Draws all need cleaning , windows need cleaning .

Staff were lovely , reception area and bar were nice . Bed was comfy Round by restaurant was lovely

The room was dirty , could do with a deep clean . Dead bug splattered on wall . There was a black sofa which had food on it aswel as dust , the draws could do with a clean too as crumbs and dirt in them . So we had to sot on the beds . I didnt complain to the reception staff as i was only staying there for a hospital visit and in too much pain from my op .

Staff were brilliant , couldn’t fault them . The reception area and bar were really nice . Bed was comfy enough .
