The receptionist was excellent with great customer service skills, unfortunately the waiters and bar staff were a little unfriendly making the experience less enjoyable than before.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous decor and interior design! The location is excellent and close to many shops and restaurants and a lovely bridge/canal.

Main parts of bedrooms clean but windows, doors, carpets and shower screen need a deep clean. Corridors in real need of clean, pain work tatty. Hotel does need an upgrade.

Price, friendly staff, location and good furniture. Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking.

Our Stay was in the outside carpark rooms, which were very nice but didn’t get much sleep from the guess returning or maybe the residents cutting through the car park from their night out signing and shouting early hours!

Location was great, local to everything. Was set up for the day with a great breakfast range.

Service in restaurant was poor. I ate there two nights, there were only another two couples in the restaurant on both nights but after initial order I was ignored and may as well have been invisible. The others were promptly served, one person who arrived after me was finished first and left before me. I gave up waiting for desert on first night second night ordered desert but was invisible again. I would not recommend eating and evening meal there.

Breakfast wasn't the best, they run out of beans, when I asked if they had any more they said they had run out and would have to go to the shop. Then they run out of teabags and milk, kept having to ask for some. Our shower in our room was awkward to use as I couldn't move the glass screen to turn it on.

Heating wasn't working in the room - blooming cold. Ok, there were two electric radiators which eventually warmed it up, but ... Shower was super-hot or cold, with nothing in between.

Breakfast was ok if you like fry-ups with fairly cheap ingredients. Not so great if you don't. Bed was comfortable. Receptionist was friendly.

The room was very hot, although I did turn off the radiator and open then windows, the bathroom towel rail could not be turned off so made the room very warm. The toilet was very squashed between the wall and sink, and being a larger lady was a bit tricky! Main problem was as the room was literally in the car park was very noisy and the lighting needs improving - no light near the dressing table (nor a chair).

Room was pleasant, roomy and spotlessly clean, bed was comfy, nice to have 2 tub chairs and a little table, good amount of storage room for your belongings, bathroom was clean and towels nice and fluffly, water was hot.

No extraction fan in bathroom. Opened the window after shower but couldn't close it, which opened onto fire exit. Major security issue. Bed was not very comfortable. Could hear voices from adjacent room.
