Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomJaded exterior. There were mcdonalds wrappers dumped in car park. Generally a run-down condition esp exterior. It would have been a great place once - but seems to be left behind. It seems to me that the property is running an old name synonymous with high quality - but is now run with new management that is on a very tight budget. Nothing wrong with that & they are clearly spending the money where they get biggest bang for buck. The shame is the general external appearance is shabby & not as welcoming as it once would have been. The dining room was quite large - but only the manager running the place - and we were alone in there - I don't think I've ever had that in any hotel.... it was both good and bad at the same time. Don't misunderstand my review - there was NOTHING wrong....just not a 'Ramada' & I wasn't expecting it at the budget paid.
This property is in a decent location from the motorway - so convenient and yet far enough away not to be noisey. The room was fairly large for a small budget. The staff were very polite & friendly. The evening meal was nice - although were the only couple dining in the whole room.

United KingdomI made the booking through Booking.com, and they advertised the king bed room for three persons. They called on the morning of the day we were supposed to check in to tell us they didn't have an available extra bed for the third person. So, we were given the option to either buy another room or have three people sleep in a king bed. Additionally, the shower in one of the rooms had a broken mixer, so we couldn't use it because the water was too hot. Luckily, we had two rooms.
The area is very quiet and secluded.

United KingdomI had to change my room as soon as I got there, I had booked for a kingsize bed but the first room had 2 singles. They changed it straight away. The actual kingsize bed, the base was kingsize but the mattress was 2 separate mattress'es. No instructions on how to use the shower, so after 10 mins I finally worked it out. The hairdryer was broken, the on/off switch was not noticeable, it did have a pat test sticker on. No hot breakfast available. A little over-priced for 1 night.
The whole place looked refreshed, newly painted. Lovely entrance when you walk in. Fab size telly, plenty of hot beverage. Easy access into Cheltenham. Room was very clean. You can clearly see they are updating the property.

United KingdomThe air-conditioning/heating did not work, the restaurant was closed, we had no hot water on the second morning because the staff did not know how to work the heating. Breakfast was not great quality, the hash browns were still ice cold from the freezer and my black pudding was almost raw.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff were friendly.

United KingdomThe room looked tired with a crack in the sink, skirting boards in need of repair and all areas looked in need of a good paint and spruce up. Breakfast was ok but I asked for mushrooms and got served 3, these were clearly from a tin. Fair selection of food at breakfast and good value for money.
Good location and easy place to stay just off the motorway, large room with comfy beds. Friendly staff and plenty of parking.

United KingdomThe room was very cold. AC didn't work, and 2 electric heaters were in the room on arrival, one switched on but not working, the other switched off. Staff readily replaced the faulty heater and I made sure that both were turned on. External walls of the room had flaking plaster from damp, 4 lights (including both bedside lights) were not working, bathroom sink was blocked and drained extremely slowly. water was lukewarm for a shower or bath, water pressure for shower was more a dribble than a shower. Went downstairs for a meal - no catering due to maintenance. They couldn't even offer a bag of crisps or peanuts because of delivery problems. Was told there was only 1 pub locally, and a certain chicken fast food outlet. the pub was packed, so opted for the fast food option. big mistake but that is not the purpose of this review. Went back to the room which was still bitterly cold despite both "heaters" having been on for 2-3 hours. went to bed to get warm. In the morning the room was still cold, despite the additional heating having been on for over 12 hours. I didn't stay for breakfast, so can't review that. Would I stay again? if the heating and plumbing is fixed, yes
The staff I saw were very helpful, the room was spotlessly clean. The room was large and well appointed. The bathroom had a shower and a bath. There was a large wall mounted TV with a good choice of channels. The room was really quiet and no disturbance at all during the night
