Looks like it has had a revamp, however if they got a reliable DIY person in to touch up the jobs then it would be better, just needs some tlc and attention to detail. The bathroom suite did not match the photos and the Aircon was not working.

Great cost for a few nights. Room was a great size. Easy access and reasonably priced compared to any other hotel in the area. The evening meal was tasty, I did not do breakfast so I can't comment. Bar prices are average for the area. Plenty of free parking spaces.

Breakfast was shocking, no food, no milk, no cups, one staff member running round trying to clean up get more stock refill stations, everyone was getting pissed off, this poor chap was having one hell of a morning. GET MORE STAFF & FRESH FOOD - couldn't even eat any of the items they had out as was so old/stale. Coffee and everything came in sachets including milk. Cooked breakfast was okay but you didn't get a choice of what you wanted, just cooked breakfast and they brought out a plate, no allergy questions or choice of what you wanted on your cooked breakfast. you got one tiny piece of mushroom, tomato, egg and sausage, was a childs portion. Super run down hotel, everything is old, falling apart, mouldy, stains on the sheets, you can tell they have been washed but still, throw the sheets and get new ones!! Hotel needs a major revamp. Was absolutely dead and it just looks like they have no money to keep the place open. Breakfast was worse than what you'd get at the homeless shelter, just gross.

Bed was super comfy, nice tv in room and decent size room for one person. Staff were lovely, very very attentive and sweet, they made the stay more bearable and are pretty much the only good things going for that hotel.

Comfort of the room, cleanliness and facilities. Staff were friendly and the breakfast service was excellent. Great fried breakfast and provided gluten free bread, which was a bonus.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke from the previous guest. We also had a phone call at 2.30am from the hotel and have no idea why.

When I booked in booking.com it was stated that the hotel has a EV charging point. My plan was to sleep there while the car was charging and be ready to depart in the early morning. We we were in a group of 4 people. On arrival at about 10pm the staff denied the existence of the EV charging point and then they accepted that there is one but it was out or order for days. I had to travel to the nearest point in town centre so I spent 2 hours at late night to charge. I went to sleep at 1:30 am and had to travel in the early morning. I had a very bad and short sleep.

Price was good and rooms large and confortable.

Budget ingredients used , clearly new owners trying to make their way in the hotel game , my scrambled egg was cooked in oil not butter making it completely unpleasant and uneatable sausage was chipolater style and of a budget nature.

Cleanliness,facility’s poor condition,tv not working,toilet flush broken..it looks as though it’s been tarted up but very poorly,very dated and generally very poor condition,paint splashes and roller marks all over parts of the rooms and hotel lobby areas especially on the entrance to the lifts and hall ways,breakfast was good but no condiments on tables,sauces non existent,broken coffee machine,lack of plates,spoons and cups..we have since found out it was used as a hotel for illegal immigrants very recently which would explain the shoddy paintwork and condition of the place to get it open asap..the restaurant prices were good but didn’t try the food,if it was on par with the breakfast it would be very good,real shame the place is very dated and poorly prepared..

Reception young lad was superb,the faults we encountered were due to poor management,unchecked room facility’s and poor house keeping.we were offered another room but ended up with single beds but at least that rooms facilities worked.

the rooms are wide but one of the rooms that we had was not good, the sink clogged, the table was broken and the room was dusty and the hot and cold water are not good , but the two rooms were ok.

The rooms were dirty The one bathroom was wet, the shower and the toilet was leaking The lamps had no light bulbs in them White crusty stains on the bottom of the beds, on the chairs and the curtains. Stains on the”clean” bedding too The one chair was broken in the one room AC broken in both rooms and other in the hotel (asked other guests) Large comfortable Beds that were promised were two singles pushed together with a double mattress cover so the bed spread apart making it uncomfortable.

The sofa bed was awful. It was on a slant and when we complained they added more duvets which made it worse to sleep on. Our toilet broke we stayed 3 nights and the towels were not changed and t / coffee station not refilled.

There was only a limited menu available. Only 1 dessert on offer. The paint on the outside of the hotel was peeling off.

The staff were lovely, and really friendly. The hotel is clean and on a quiet road. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited. The room had all that I could have wanted to hand. No hairdryer though, and no phone in the room to ask for one. Only realised when I had washed my hair. I couldn't be bothered to use my phone to see if I could get one.

Jaded exterior. There were mcdonalds wrappers dumped in car park. Generally a run-down condition esp exterior. It would have been a great place once - but seems to be left behind. It seems to me that the property is running an old name synonymous with high quality - but is now run with new management that is on a very tight budget. Nothing wrong with that & they are clearly spending the money where they get biggest bang for buck. The shame is the general external appearance is shabby & not as welcoming as it once would have been. The dining room was quite large - but only the manager running the place - and we were alone in there - I don't think I've ever had that in any hotel.... it was both good and bad at the same time. Don't misunderstand my review - there was NOTHING wrong....just not a 'Ramada' & I wasn't expecting it at the budget paid.

This property is in a decent location from the motorway - so convenient and yet far enough away not to be noisey. The room was fairly large for a small budget. The staff were very polite & friendly. The evening meal was nice - although were the only couple dining in the whole room.
