The room only had a single plug socket so bring a multi point connector for charging multiple devices.

The location is quite far from Fort William. It's about an hours walk.

No concerns or complaints - exactly what we needed for our weekend climbing Ben Nevis. Would definitely stay again. Great VFM and handy for Fort William.

Room nice and clean, beds comfortable, great view of Ben Nevis from our window. We had the breakfast on the Sunday of our stay which was great with lots of options. Hostel kitchen well kitted out and everything was well labelled for ease of use of the facilities. Nice lounge and plenty of key info visitors will need on display. Chap on reception was polite and helpful on every interaction. Plenty of showers to use which are shared between all the visitors - never any issue finding one to use when we needed it.

A bit off but it comes with a price. Cheap price because it is a bit off. But! There was a pub/restaurant only 5-10 minutes walk away so food and beer was quite near. There should be a sign on the building telling that this is Chase The Wild Goose.

I liked how I was welcomed. Good information from the staff member. Basic breakfast but it was a buffet which was good.

Signage in the dark could possibly be clearer. Parking area was full so chose park on road rather than block other guests in.

Staff were extremely helpful when I was delayed by an unexpected road closure and lengthy diversion! Instructions to access the property out of hours straightforward. Linen clean & I had a good nights sleep in my bunk. Didn’t take the breakfast option but kitchen was spotless. Checkout information clear. Nice and close to main travel route, situated on a quiet residential road. Travelled by car.

Check-in time is quite late. It should be an hour earlier. When we arrived there ee cannot use hot water in 2 of 4 bathrooms.

The exterior looked like the place was dilapidated, which was extremely off-putting.

The interior, particularly the beds and bathrooms was lovely, decor felt quaint and homely. It's proximity the train station was useful considering its location far outside Fort William

The accommodation, which is a bit outside Fort William, was really good overall. Despite the fact that there were 6 people staying in the room, everything worked perfectly. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

The location close to the Caledonian Canal was wonderful. I also liked the way the rooms were named after islands.

The top bunk bed is way too close to the bottom bunk, so one isn’t able to sit on their bed, which isn’t comfortable. It would also be very practical to have some sort of tiny shelf / bedside table to put your things on (especially if you wear glasses). There also wasn’t always soap to wash your hands.

The hostel is cute and has a nice living area, dining room and kitchen. The bathrooms look very nice.

We had to keep our window closed because of the midges, but this meant a complete lack of ventilation and bad smell. Insect screens would be a good solution! All the bedroom doors close very loudly, so woke up each time someone left their room. The kitchen was too small for the amount of guests. Only one tap and not many tables for eating. Checkin only after 5 pm. They send a lot of pushy emails.

It was clean. Nice mountain view from our room.
