Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed was very comfortable and the outside area was well managed to ensure the rooms were not affected by people outside after 9pm. The location was ideal for walking into town.

A good, practical and ideally located stay. Okay, Chapter Two is a bit dated and has sufferered a bit with subsidence in the past hence slopy floors in places but it was immaculately clean, very comfy bed and had everything you could wish for in a stay.

United KingdomJust tiny things really: There is no car park, which I knew in advance, but would have been great if there were directions to the nearest free car park in the town as it isn't far away. It wasn't obvious how to check in, if there were a simple note saying, "please go to the bar to check in", that would have told me earlier that I was doing the right thing.
Friendly staff, the proximity to the bar itself, relaxed nature of the check out process, easy late night access, quietness, despite being a perfect town centre location.

United KingdomThe only complaint I have is noise - you can hear upstairs people moving about and its fairly loud. What made it worse for us was the people in upstairs room came back after 1am on the Saturday night and proceeded to have a huge domestic which went on for quite a long time, spilled out onto the wee courtyard outside our room for a while and then back upstairs to the room - it was not great, especially not when you have a marathon to run the next morning! Now this is probably an isolated incident however it would put us off going back next year. I'm really sad to have to say this because it was absolutely perfect for what we needed, however I think its only right to mention.
Room was lovely, nice decor, comfortable bed, spacious, loads of tea, coffee biccies and water - couldnt have asked for more for the price. Staff were lovely and so helpful!
