Would like lose toiletries in the room. Eg a bar of soap. When in the bath I had to keep standing up to use the soap

Lovely stay. Perfect location, lovely staff and extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and meeting Mortimer, the cat, was the icing on the cake 😁

Had to get kettle changed as it was black and sludgy in the bottom. Slightly dusty in places and top of toilet needed a good clean. It was a very windy night and we were on the top floor. Every time the wind blew there were strange creaking noises from above which was a bit worrying. Walls are thin, we could hear the people next door talking which wasn't good. Corridors. On top floor corridor, the carpets smell of stale smoke and need replacing. Also didn't expect to have to pay for parking.

We had a room to the rear , looking over car parking & ac unit below which we could hear as it was so warm we had to leave windows open only way of cooling room Not our first stay probably not last will request toon to the front in future

Bed and pillows much too firm for us. We could clearly hear people talking in a nearby room, also hear their TV. Whilst not so loud to complain about it was nevertheless annoying when trying to get to sleep.

Smart yet not stuffily formal - beautiful decor in reception areas and a nice informal signing-in experience. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided free of charge. King sized bed was comfy. Our senior, blind dog was made welcome. Room rate starts from room only with extras such as breakfast (£12 each), car parking (£6 a day if you park for more than four hours, under four hours is free to hotel visitors), available if you want them. This keeps room rates very competitive for a basic stay, remembering it’s a 4-star hotel. Pleasant location convenient for the town centre yet set in a tree lined parkland area so it’s peaceful! Staff were lovely. We will stay here again!

Toilet was blocked in room. One of the lights didn't work. Room was a little small. There was an ironing board but no iron.

Evening meal was very good. Breakfast was good. Lounge area was excellent.

The room was absolutely lovely however, there were not many options for 3 pin plug outlets and none at all anywhere near the bed. This is difficult when travelling with a medical device that requires an electrical supply. With some manoeuvring we managed with an extension lead. We are noticing this more and more at hotels that hard wire the lamps directly.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We are very impressed with the helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed the menu choices both for dinner and breakfast. The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas is excellent. The bed was comfy. So great that you have a resident hotel cat - Mortimer was a lovely surprise in the lounge area and so well behaved! We enjoy the location as it is not too far to walk into the city centre and has ample parking facilities on site.

The plumbing (particularly the room toilet) was old and not fully functional. i.e. cistern slow and noisy to refill

Not a lot wrong considering the money.

Room was more than adequate. Staff well informed, polite and friendly. Breakfast basic but served in a lovely room. Check-in and out staff excellent. Bar staff very good and it felt they meant it when they said enjoy the rest of your evening.
