The hot water heater is a bit counter-intuitive, and (warm) water flow was weak. This is because the hot water is heated electrically at point of use, and not using an immersion tank. I was unable to find any way of controlling the temperature - all of the radiators had their controls at maximum - but the boiler turned off at some point in the evenning and it got cold during the night.

Great location, property was very clean and pristine. Was able to use the washer to clean up some stray chocolate spills on my daughter's clothes. I can see how a family staying here for a longer period would really be able to optimise their luggage and laundry costs, as I used to travel in Europe and finding a laundromat was always a fraught endeavour.

It’s a little breezy but Dover coast on the heights you have to expect this.

Great location looking over the coast to France. Quiet street and easy parking. All facilities as described. One of the best places we have stayed. Really nice shower and rooms. Plenty of space. Nicely furnished and very well kept. Messages answered. Friendly host.

Steep climb to property up a road. House in a residential road, some of the surrounding buildings (possibly military) in the area were derelict.

Views to France and across the valley to the Castle. Quiet area though not rural, well placed to visit Dover, though you need a car to go into town. Property, spacious single story and very clean and well equipped.

Couldn’t have been better.

From arrival we were very impressed. Curb appeal was excellent, clean and tidy. On opening the door, we could smell how clean it was, rather than just air fresheners that some hosts use. Great facilities, very comfortable and great views. It was very quiet, which is always good. We liked the decor too.

The only thing was that there was quite a bit of dog muck in the garden, so we hardly used it.

Wonderful cottage with views of Dover Castle and the sea (and France). Great size for 2 adults and two children. Good kitchen, and bathroom and nice big living room. Clean and well kept. We also felt very well looked after. Thank you very much!

Nothing exept the dog poo in the garden We had to clean up because of our kids running everywhere.

We had a wonderful Stay at Castle Vieuw. The Vieuw was gorgeus and house was very light, clean and it was nice to have a garden. We've had very good weather so a great time at the beach ( st Margareths Bay is very pretty). We enjoyed the house very much and would definitly recommanded.

The pictures don’t do it justice. Was so lovely, clean and really nicely decorated with homely touches. We were staying for a channel swim and met the owners the night before who gave me some solid advice that stuck with me through my swim. Lovely hosts and really welcoming!

Beds in second Bedroom could be a little longer but this is a very small issue .I would return tomorrow.

It was self catering. Location offered peace and superb views. Town and family just a short drive away. We will return. Wish we could have stayed longer. Immaculate in presentation . Well equipped and well appointed. Excellent value for money. Lovely little garden and wildlife .

Everything! It's an amazing place and we loved every minute. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean with fantastic views. The owners are friendly, helpful and accommodating and the area is steeped in history. I literally cannot find fault with anything we experienced during our visit. It was great value for money and we genuinely feel our break wasn't long enough, so we're sure to book again.

The house had no number on it to know which one it was. If it weren't for the photo on the website we wouldn't have identified it. Even then the neighbors saw our plight and came out to help us. There was no "welcome book" giving instructions or info about the apartment. The locks on the doors and windows were difficult to operate. During the record breaking heat wave there wasn't a fan in the house. There were no hand towels or washcloths. The hot water took an extremely long time to heat up. Not the owners fault, but the power went out and we had to throw food out. When I called the numbers the renter provided if there were problems there was no answer.

The neighbor women were very helpful. Being on the hilltop there was a nice breeze during the heat wave.

The water pressure is a bit low and we don't like the light in the bathroom turns off automatically while you in the mid of a bath.

The location and the view is good, owners are friendly and helpful. I particularly like the kitchen with full utensils. The whole house is clean and neat, definitely feels like home and we recommend it.
