The bathroom was quite large, so it would have been a bonus to have a bath installed, even though the shower was excellent. This isn't a dislike, but an observation.

The staff in both the reception and the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. The room (Y Delyn ) was spot on, warm, quiet, cosy, comfy bed and good views. The location was perfect with Pubs, Restaurants and Cafes very close by. The breakfast was excellent, although I would have preferred freshly ground coffee instead of filtered. There was a smell of stagnant water/drains in the bathroom; not bad but noticeable whilst in the bathroom.

The location was superb. Booked the superior double room, basically gave us the whole top floor of the building! Large room, large bathroom and a sitting room down the corridor, excellent.

I didn't not like anything, the only thing I could possibly think of to improve is to have a little sitting area for the summer for example beneath the window looking into the castle grounds (overgrown brambles)

The staff was very friendly and attentive as well as the people in the community, all needs were met with the facilities and the room was very comfortable and spacious and the of the river was amazing. I will definitely be returning, Cardigan has so much to offer.

There's a small car park on site. When all rooms are full, so is the car park. We understand there are plans to create a couple more spaces, which will be better. It was quite a distance from our room. The venue sends instructions on how to drop bags nearer and then travel to the car park, and how to check in, but there's quite a different procedure depending on if you arrive before the castle closes or if it's after that, with different gates being locked at different times of the day. Not sure whether this is just an issue with rooms by the visitor centre or all accommodation, but hopefully with a bit of cunning, it can be streamlined.

Based on the dual listing of many properties on booking.com and airb&b (where hosts rate their visitors) we tend to take comments about "wonderful staff" with a pinch of salt. However, EVERYONE, from the shop to the breakfast crew in the lovely cafe/restaurant to the new director, took time to chat, and really make the stay special. The location is perfect for the town, and for exploring the countryside and coast, and it's a privilege to feel part of history. It's nice to be able to walk in the grounds of the castle after breakfast, before visitors come in. The breakfast venue is lovely, while the room is warm, welcoming, and well stocked with good facilities. If you can get a table, Yr Hen Printworks just across the street from the car park offers amazing small plate food and wonderful service. Or for a genuine pub, try Hancocks Inn on the opposite side of the bridge.

Getting into the car park was a hold your breath experience, but we were well warned and advised on how to navigate it before hand. With the space available there isn't anything they can do about it, but that was a minor thing in comparison to a really enjoyable stay.

The room was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really nice and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We love Cardigan and have now found a great place to stay.
