The hotel gardens needed tidying and the reception area looked of low standard so first impressions were a little disappointing. The breakfast had a decent range of food and quality was decent but there was no choice of eggs (eg poached, scrambled) and we had to make our own toast. Most Premier Inns offer same or better and so breakfast was a disappointment given the price of room. Overall it felt like the hotel's business model was to cater for weddings and that other customers weren't really of interest.

The location is good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and had recently been redecorated to a good standard.

They was a mild smell of paint in the room that was a bit annoying and the sink wasn't entirely clean at my arrival. But other than those it was a very pleasant stay.

Extractor fan was full of dust in the bathroom. Meal in the restaurant was lovely but very expensive, wine was expensive at £28 and it was a screw top! Made to feel awkward when checking out as we could have declined the 12.5% service charge but felt mean if we had said no. Service was good but 12.5%!!!

Our 4th stay here and the 3rd time in room 10! The room has been redecorated which is good, however the only mirror now is by the bathroom door, to dry my hair I had to plug the drier in the other side of the bathroom door and the cord just about reached so I could see what I was doing, however if someone wanted to come out of the bathroom, they may have found it difficult with the cable across the door! It’s a lovely old hotel with lots of character and we enjoy our once a year stay.

Due to age of building some doors walls whilst clean need maintenance, however this is purely aesthetic and not reflecting any ability to use facilities.

Look and character of place was awesome, breakfast choice and quality was great. Room was spacious clean warm and had all the things I might need.

Shower facility needs to be updated. Far too difficult to get in and out of a very high bath! Armchair very uncomfortable.

The shower didn't have a non-slip mat and it was slippery. My English cooked breakfast was great, but the buffet was not - it was non-existent. Just cereals and one below par Danish pastry. No croissants either which were all on the menu. My wife was not impressed and £12.50 for a bowl of cereal and a Danish pastry she couldn't eat was definitely not value for money - disappointing.

We had a great upgrade to a superior room. Thank you. Views were great and room clean and bed comfortable

Spacious, comfortable room with spa bath in large bathroom. Quiet location in lots of grounds. Friendly and competent staff in both hotel and restaurant. Very nice country house feel. Copious breakfast and relaxed but classy dining in restaurant.

The room was looking a bit tired( shower attachment quite old, loads of cobwebs behind the television on the wall, stains on the carpet. )

The single beds were only two foot six inches wide which was small for an adult to be comfortable. Mine also had a missing wheel at the bottom corner which had been "fixed" by shoving a piece of wood under that wasn't quite deep enough causing a tilt. The bathroom shower was in the bath with no grab rails and a very high side which meant my mother couldn't shower. Also they were unable to provide a bath mat for the bottom of the bath upon request.

Bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. Felt like sleeping on a rock. No mirror in room to do your hair apart from the bathroom which obviously doesn't have a plug.

Close to Windsor so ideal location plus able to take the dog.
