Because the decor was dark the lighting wasn’t great particularly in the bedroom. Although it was a full kitchen there were limited utilities like knives and forks, drainage spoons,only one wine glass and 2 very small bowls. A larger fry pan would have been handy. Just a few more items and it will be great. Otherwise we had a great relaxing stay.

Location excellent with an easy walk to Angel tube station which takes you into the city or a one stop to Kings cross. Close to supermarkets and a great coffee shop called the rugged bunch. Nice to have a kitchen and living space separate to the bedroom with a great view of water in the canal. Very secure in a block of apartments

We had to go to a store with a set code to collect the keys. But on arrival the code was not valid and appeared to be time sensitive and we were earlier than the code time. This caused a hassle and fortunately I was able to call the host and sort the validation of the code.

There is no TV, which did not bother us, as we were using the flat as a base. However, if one planned to spend more time indoors...... You are paying a lot to be in a smart and trendy place, but you need to be travel-savvy re buses etc. Angel tube is a 12-15 minute walk. Old Street tube is currently being refurbished but is accessible.

The view is exceptional and the location (about halfway between Angel and Old Street tube stations) was not bad. A small, but very modern and very comfortable flat, which seems totally independent from its neighbours in the block. It was also very quiet.

Cooking equipment was sparse. One small pan just does not do the job if you want to cook something.

The kitchen needs more utensils, a good sharp knife,more than 2 small plates and 2 small bowls,a fry pan, tongs The reason we book apartments is so we are able to cook some meals however the lack of simple utensils and the above items made it difficult. I had noticed other people had mentioned this and thought it may have been rectified. A fan to move the air around on a hot day would be great..as the windows are safety windows they don't open very wide so when it's hot there is not much air movement. It looks like there might be aircon but not used...I'm not sure. Having said all that it was still a great spot to explore London

The location, apartment, cleanliness, bathroom were great. A terrific view of the canal from the large windows in the living area. Host was easy to contact, key pickup point easy to find,apartment easy to locate.

It didn't meet our hospitality expectations for other apartments we've stayed at via Booking.com as this is someone's flat and not a serviced tourist apartment. The check-in process was inconvenient and complicated on a weekday. After a while after check-in, we started noticing some unexpected details... such as the lack of closet space and drawers (only a small, hanger-type rack is offered since the host's clothes are in the closet), limited amount of towels (two for two people, bleach stained and impractical as they were originally a large bath towel cut in half), kettle was covered in limescale, dish sponge was dirty and had curly hairs (presumably for having cleaned the bathroom after a previous guest with it?), very limited dishware/glassware/cutlery/cooking utensils... not what we hoped for, but it's easy to improve for future travellers :(

The VIEW! Nice and quiet location despite being in the Central London area. Plenty of places to walk around, eat and drink in the neighbourhood. Apartment complex and surroundings felt safe. Modern decoration, and the bathtub is a plus. Quick central heating (although we were advised by the co-host not to leave it on too long or overnight).

It's a small flat, but ok for solo traveler. Would have liked a way to make fresh coffee.

This is a very nice flat near the Angel in Islington. Comfortable bed and lovely views from the window in the sitting room. The weather was cold, but good central heating system made it cosy quire quickly.

Checking in was a little complicated; the host was a little slow to respond to messages (understandably as it was a work day) and did not see our ETA message, delaying our check in by about half an hour

Access very unsatisfactory for anyone not familiar with using booking.com link for process. Have never had such a problem gaining access to a property, made worse by street numbering and difficulties in finding it. Then having to go to a shop to get the key. Would have liked to have a couple of wine glasses and a bread knife - minimal kitchen equipment. No soap in bathroom dispenser.

Needs extra pillows and a decent mattress. Needs extra kitchen equipment like cereal bowls more cutlery more plates and glasses. The sills and skirtings need dusting.

The flat was furnished to a poor standard Sofa threadbare and just acceptable Bed had springs poking out, no bedside tables (there was an ancient standard lamp) bedroom was sooo dark - all brown including ceiling kitchen crockery well below standard - mismatched charity shop mugs, no cereal bowls (was some ancient soup bowls) for the sake of a £20 visit to ikea all could be sorted nicely Bathtowels were inadequate - the two towels were made by cutting a large one in half and resown to give an edge - also had bleach stains! I use better for my dog... Deep freezer in hallway just outside of bedroom door makes awful humming noise at all times - there is room in kitchen No TV. for the money paid I expected better

I have booked many apartments through booking.com before but I have never encountered such experience. 1. The host showed clear procedure of getting the key in chat box but I felt that she was not very friendly when meeting for the key as she yelled my name at the main entrance. I felt awkward at the time. 2.The apartment was not clean as rubbishes were left in the bin by previous guests and a towel was left at the back of the towel warmer rack. However, the host stated the apartment was clean before my arrival as her cleaner would sent her photo for checking…... 3. We booked this apartment as we would like to cook but the cooking utensils, kettle and kitchen aids are sticky and dirty. I spent a long time to clean the pots before cooking…... I have also found some lost hairs and battery on the eating utensils… 4. The host gave us a check-in manual but just asked us to have a look without explanation. The manual, which stated that guests need to wipe the bathroom using a squeegee and throw the rubbish, was not clearly stated in booking. com. 5. We have thrown the large rubbish according to the manual but left a bouquet, some cleaned cans and plastic bottles there as we were not sure about the recycling policy in the UK but the host blamed us not care of her apartment. I admitted that it was my problem. 6. The host expected guests to clean up the apartment and put everything to the original place accurately even the host has a cleaner but these requirements are not listed in booking. com or the check-in manual. 7. After the stay, the host accused me of damaging the roller blind in bedroom without clarifying the issue! In fact, I didn’t. I was so annoyed with this…... 8.The host also sent me photos and showed dissatisfaction towards my cleanliness and tidiness in using the kitchen. In fact, we did not mess up the apartment. I supposed that guests have to maintain certain degree of cleanliness and tidiness but I didn’t expect guests have to do all clean up.

Such a lovely little apartment, very stylish, clean, warm and inviting. Amazing view out onto the canal. Fantastic welcome by the host. Would definitely stay here again
