    Nothing

The chalet was located right by the pond and our chidren got to see ducks and swans and ducklings close up. It was close to a play park. It was clean, had cooking utensils amd a good cooker and a fridge. We loved having our own bathroom.

Could have a few more utensils and kitchenware. (Pan, nonstick cooking pan, wooden spoon, full size broom for self cleaning)

Peaceful atmosphere. Comfortable chalet with everything we need. Great walking trails, interesting facts about the iron streams, amazing breakfast at the cafe. And what a fun and interactive park for the children. The star of the show was all the wildlife. It was amazing to see my first kingfisher on the lake one morning.

The Chalets are very compact. The mattress need replacing. We stayed last year in a lodge. If we stayed again, then would request lodge. Wouldn't stay in a chalet again.

    Location, setting.

The Chalet was small but had all we needed. We had great weather but if it had been raining and we couldn't sit outside, might of then been a bit claustrophobic. The site has no facilities like a club house, bar etc. There is a cafe in the Country Park a few minutes walk but it does shut at 5pm. So we did use the car alot but we knew all of this before so no problem.

Wonderful location, chalet looked over the lake. We visited Henley on Thames and Windsor Great Park, Coral Reef waterpark is 10 minutes away which the kids loved. We also walked over Finchampstead Ridges- about 10 minutes drive away but walks on site through the woods and Country Park. Brilliant 4 days away- great value for money.

The chalet was unfortunately not so clean. It initially smelled of chlorine when entering, but the floor was dirty. They provided a mop for us to clean it ourselves, but that's not really how I like to start my vacation. The wifi was also horrible, almost no internet connection after 4 o'clock.

Our chalet was almost directly on the water. Overal the place has good views and the grounds are very well kept. Our kids loved the bunk beds.

I understood I was getting a cabin by the lake with an outdoor seating area but our cabin was at the edge of the park and we had no seating outside. There were no mirrors really in the cabin which meant 4 ladies queueing for the bathroom one! Provision of a tea towel would be useful given the requirement to wash and dry all dishes. The cabin was clean at passing glance, but once we got settled we could see a few cobwebs and the floors needed a mop.

The staff were friendly and the setting is beautiful. The park itself is secure with fobs for electric gates given to guests to allow access. Parking is good and the play area is wonderful.

I had problems with the hot water but didn’t seek help to sort it out. The kitchen tap was the wrong way round cold on the left and hot on the right.

Possibly do with a few more kitchen drawer items, as it is self catering. 2 loo rolls would have been nice but we did bring our own. A floor lamp in the lounge would make it feel more cosy, as you have to have the ceiling lights on all the time.

Nice friendly reception staff. The chalet was clean and warm, nice location and very quiet but it was November! Nice position by the lake but the Rhododendrons could do with a prune as they obscured most of the view!

The chalet could have been better lit outside. we arrived in the dark (5 30pm) and it was difficult to find the chalet first of all and the door was at the back. A light with a sensor would have been helpful, especially as it was on the lakeside, about 2 metres from the path. no signage to warn, or light to see by!

Location was ideal, as family are four miles away. The site was calm and tranquil, lots of wildlife and beautiful trees. At this time of the year, it was of course, quiet.

The supplies in the chalet were very basic, we had to buy our own hand soap, washing up sponges & liquid and tea towel.

Beautiful grounds, very friendly staff and a nice quiet locale. Lots of nature to explore and a fantastic playground for kids only a 5 minute walk away. The accommodation is basic, but perfectly functional and comfy. It's a great base for lots of walks and exploration.
