Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had not realised when we booked that there is no kitchen at the hotel, so no cooked breakfast and no resteraunt. There are places within a ten minuet drive to eat, these are all other hotels that perhaps we would have chosen instead.
Beutifull building set in lovely grounds

United KingdomCurrently no cooked breakfast, only continental as of Sept 2023 whilst the kitchen awaits Grade II listed building sign off. I brought this up at checkout and is waiting imminent resolution, this is out of the hotels control to be fair. Evening dining will also be offered once the kitchen sign off happens. The restaurant is completely ready for use as of today and once the kitchen is signed of as ready kitchen cooking can begin.
Newly reopened after a 12 month long full refurbishment, exceptionally done. The manager Kendreya is very welcoming, informative and enthusiastic about all of the offerings of Caes Rhud. Nothing was too much trouble when taking care of all of my 84yr old mothers needs….. The photos on Booking.com are the true likeness of the hotel rooms which are immaculate, if taking the time to view the hotels own website, the hotel website nearly put us of booking our trip but decided to take a chance. You need to completely disregard the internal photographs of the hotel from their own website “which are very basic and old fashioned”, I discussed this with Kendreya on our checkout, currently there is an issue taking control of the website from the previous owners and are therefore unable to update or delete the old outdated photos from prior to the refurbishment. You can trust that the booking.com photos are the true ones.

United KingdomThere wasn’t much around at night. If you’re happy to chill in the hotel bar and lounge with a book or games then you’ll love the place
Amazing building, bags of character and history The staff were really friendly and pleasant and couldn’t do enough to make your stay perfect The room was very comfortable, and there were lots of cosy touches which I can imagine making you feel very relaxed in autumn/winter (it was 25 degrees when we were here…!) Continental breakfast was good quality products

United KingdomBreakfast was very expensive for basic continental. With not a great selection. However staff allowed me to just get a bowl of cereal as I didn’t want more than that.
The property is in an amazing location with fantastic decor and design throughout giving you a luxurious Manor House feel. Situated in an absolutely beautiful spot surrounded by lush meadows of wild flowers and greatly catered for gardens. The rooms are spacious with large beds, comfy quilts and nice pillows. The bathroom was nice and modern with a fantastic shower head. Black out curtains to keep you asleep. Nespresso machine in every room for a semi decent coffee in the morning (struggled to find decent coffee anywhere on Conwy) The staff where absolutely amazing, catering to every need we had and going above and beyond. They really are a credit to this place and should be appreciated. Always willing to help and couldn’t of asked for more of them so thank you for making it a xtra special. It was my partners birthday and they provided a nice glass of fizz for us upon entering our room.

United KingdomI would have given a 10 all around. But I was really disappointed that they do not do a cooked breakfast only a continental. If we’d have realised we would have booked a room without breakfast. But honestly, it’s just a small gripe. I believe they will be offering these at some point, but they’ve only just opened. It didn’t tarnish our love of the place though.
All the staff were welcoming and attentive. The night Porter even got glasses of water for us at 4.30am. We came down to take our dog out to spend a penny and we were parched, how kind! And the groundskeeper with his resident dog was only too happy to chat, and he didn’t seem too bored with all my questions. Lol The Hotel is super dog friendly, they even leave a doggy welcome pack, complete with ball! The bed was so comfy, and we had a gorgeous spacious room. (We didn’t book a basic room so cannot comment on what those are like). There was fabulous views of the countryside all around, simply stunning. We will definitely be back.

PolandThere was no side lamps next to our bed, so that was a bit strange. You need to get up to turn off the lights. No vegetables on the breakfast and the coffee could have been better, but the dining room is marvelous.
Amazing location! I was really upset when I needed to leave this beautiful place. The surroundings here are magnificent. There is also a huge Lebanese cedar in the garden with a swing, so don't miss that.
