This is not a purpose built hotel so is limited by the room sizes it has. I booked a "standard double" which turned out to be a small double with not enough room to get a bedside locker at both sides of the bed, hanging space was a rack on the wall, no where to get the suitcase out of the way. OK for an overnight for a single traveller. Booking.com have apparently not responded to requests to update the website info. I was staying for 5 nights so I complained that this was not what I was expecting and was instantly offered an upgrade to a kingsize room which they had available and it was very spacious and comfortable. Very nice seating, coffee pod machine, kettle etc. Nice view over the grounds, gorgeous curtains. Bed was comfortable. Always warm enough even with the window open constantly. Small shower room which had no shelving for personal items, fighting for space with bathroom glasses on the sink. Drain smell at times but good flow from shower and very nice complementary hand soap etc. Nice towels and robes. Breakfast (optional). Many people have been ecstatic about what is on offer for breakfast so its worth checking it out, see what you think.

Very quiet location but not far from A roads. Hotel lobby/lounges decor fantastic, very comfortable, lots of character, board games galore too. Step up into hall and in some parts of the lounge areas, not clear whether there are bedrooms on the ground floor, no lift. The staff offer excellent customer service and are very nice. If you are visiting the hotel for its decorative appeal then you won't be bothered by the rest of my review and nor should you be, it has a very lovely ambiance and is easily preferable to the majority of places in the local area. Parking available. 24/7 bar... very cool place to hang out, eclectic and tasteful music choices. It has only been open for a couple of months and I am sure they will refine their offering rapidly in response to feedback- in particular the misleading room details from Booking.com. I would stay there again but...

That we were only there for one night!

We were blown away by this hotel! It’s nestled in beautiful North Wales countryside, an old Manor House with beautiful gardens and scenery. The lobby, reception room and lounge area are rustic and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was delightful.

The decor was lovely with a relaxed feel to the hotel. The the late check out meant you didn’t feel rushed and could enjoy the hotel and grounds, with board games dotted around and lots of seating areas to relax. The breakfast was lovely and so were the staff. We will definitely be returning.

The staff were outstanding. The lady at the reception was so welcoming, professional and extremely helpful. The lady, (Mia I think) who showed us to our rooms is lovely and a real asset to the hotel.

The bedroom that we received was quite small! It has a big bed but not so much space for suitcases or move around!! The photos shows a big bedroom when we booked! Still is a beautiful place to stay

It is a pity the hotel doesn't have a kitchen to serve meals; we had to drive some distance away for dinner.

The staff was excellent, accommodated all our needs and the manager was simply exceptional. It's a pity I have forgotten his name but, he is an asset to the establishment. Breakfast was good and delicious.

If had to pick one thing it would be that lack of coocked breakfast (although the breakfast was still very good, a pancake experience!) but they're getting the kitchen up and running April, then it will be truly perfect.

Everything!! I don't usually write reviews but Caer Rhun Hall was amazing. Beautiful building Beautifully decorated in lovely grounds and as it is new it will only get better. Its tranquil and luxurious. We will definitely be back.we down have a dog but the dog friendliness just ended to the laid back vibe.
