Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe lift was a bit slow, but we were on the first floor so we used the stairs. Not a big issue by any means. Highlights my impatience more than anything!
Great location for our purposes (a concert at the Royal Albert Hall). All areas were exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. Great natural light and good lighting options in the room too. Bed was really comfortable, perfectly firm. All staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive.

United States of AmericaTiny room - felt like staying on the attic. Not expected for that price. Amenities could be better. Breakfast is a bit too late for tourists - 7:30 and 8 on weekends. All the day trips start around 7 am. So, we had to skip twice.
Great location, pretty clean, good breakfast, attentive staff.

Very nice single room, good size bathroom and staff were friendly and helpful. It was close to a shopping strip with lots of restaurants, a 3 minute walk to Hyde park. Subway and bus stops were also close to get around London.

JerseyI was in the lower ground, room 005, which didn’t bother me. However early morning disturbance, maybe I was near the housekeeping store?
The room was very nice and the big bed very comfortable. The staff were lovely.

United KingdomThere was nothing that I could mention that I didn't like; the room was perhaps a little small but there is so much to do we only used it to sleep and shower in.
The Hotel was easy to find and close to a Tube station. The street it was on was quiet and the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Although the room was a little small it was very clean and had decent facilities including a large TV. There were some very local shops, bars and restaurants which saved us having to travel on the occasion we did not feel like it. Some of the major tourist attractions were within walking distance.

United States of AmericaThe room would get hot in the middle of the night because the air conditioning shuts off after a few hours.
The room was pleasant and clean. The lift was down when we arrived, but the staff were so kind to climb the 5 flights with our luggage. By the next day, the lift was fixed.

Nice location next to Hyde park. I love to walk and 30-40 min by foot to places like Soho and Oxford street was nice. Friendly and attentive staff. Pretty good and versatile breakfast, e.g eggs in three ways: boiled, scrambled and fried.

BulgariaThe rooms are a bit on the small side, but that's the case for most London hotels, so not a big deal.
The place is great, so close to Hyde Park, which is important for a runner like me. and the staff is friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaIf you have any limitations at all, ask to not be put on the third floor. They say their elevator is not working; but given how permanent their laminated signage looks, I have to wonder how often they do work. Skip breakfast. Basic English fare self served in an unfriendly atmosphere.
The location was really good. It was on a quiet street two blocks away from lots of restaurants on either side. Also, of course very close to the park. Easy to access by metro and bus and foot.

EstoniaRoom was on the basement level, so we could hear all cars, trucks and cleaning ladies doing stuff early in the morning. Also the room was quite cold and we could not get the heating to work properly. Breakfast selection was small and same every morning.
The hotel is close to 2 metro stations and three lines which can take you to almost everywhere, so it was very convenient for travelling.

United States of AmericaThere was almost no room to open a suitcase with two people in a room! The elevator was out of service the entire time we were there, so that colored our feelings a bit, as we'd selected a hotel based on their having an elevator. There was a distinct smell in the stairwells when we arrived and obvious for the first 24 hours or so -- as if perhaps the carpets had just been cleaned and the cleaning fluid smell lingered.
The decor was lovely -- drapes especially. Breakfast was quite good -- staff at breakfast were very nice.

SwitzerlandRooms are relatively on smaller side but for us that isn’t a problem. This time we got the room facing the road so it can be quite loud as the window is not that thick. On our first night, there was a drunk guy talking loudly on the phone a few metres away from the hotel corridor. My husband went to inform the hotel front desk and he went immediately to solve the issue. Also upon check out this time, we were told that one of us had the breakfast on one of the day we stayed but we never had any breakfast at the hotel. In the end the hotel waived it and did not charge us for that
Location of the hotel is perfect. There’s 2 tube stations near to the hotel which is Queensway and Baywater. There are also lot’s of bus connections around the hotel and literally super convenient. Restaurants, convenience store and bars are all walking distance from hotel. Front desk is always very friendly and check in and check out process is always so quick and smooth.
