Beautiful English charm. Our girls took the bigger room and we took the smaller one with a great sunset view. I could sit by the window all evening to watch the sunset and catch up with work till 10pm since it is summer time. Glad we stayed slightly away from the town as it gives us the opportunity to do more walks to town and to the lake. Sharon is really helpful and recommend places we could visit around Keswick. We came with little preparation and that helps a lot. Peter had so much to share with my husband about football as they were both Man U fans. Oh and I must definitely talk about the amazing breakfast. So sumptuous and lots of variety to choose from.

Road was quite busy so could be noisy with the window open. Soon got used to it though.

The location was excellent, a 10 minute walk to the town. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cereal and cooked food. Sharon makes the best waffles and pancakes.

No private parking. However, there was a street opposite the property where parking was free.

Location was great - lovely short walk into Keswick centre along a cycle path so nice and flat. Sharon was lovely and knowledgable of the area. She also catered to my gluten allergy for the full English breakfast I had (even made me gluten free hasbrowns!) and was a completely great host. Room was snug and had a great mountain view.

Very pleasant reception by our hostess ,making us feel welcome and at home. The room was not very big but comfortable and adequate. Breakfast was a choice of several dishes and the choices we made were of a high standard. The full English breakfast was well cooked and generous in size. The whole experience , from the accommodation point of view, was very pleasing.

Lovely building in a great location. Clearly taken a lot of time to furnish and decorate. Great room looking out to the fells. Really comfortable. Fantastic breakfast that really set us up for our days out whilst walking.

This is a lovely B&B in a good location. It is a 15 min walk into Keswick where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. It is also a 15 min walk to Castlerigg stone circle, from where you can find excellent walks. Sharon is a welcoming host and cooks an excellent breakfast, with lots of choice on offer. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and can recommend walks/ things to do etc. Our room was spotless and comfortable and we had a great stay. Parking is easy - there is a road opposite the B&B where you can park for free.

Honestly can’t fault it. Home from Home.

I loved everything, it was cosey, spotless clean, no noise, beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Sharron the owner was so lovely, I’ve never stayed anywhere with a host that made us feel as welcome and her breakfasts are 5 star! It was like home from home and we will 100% book again.

What's not to like?

You really do get the personal touch at Burnside B&B, with a warm welcome from Sharon who has a fantastic knowledge of the town and things to do around the area. What a lovely place on the outskirts of Keswick, with a lovely 15 minute walk via a tree lined cycle path into the bustling town centre. We were in Room 2 which is at the front on the first floor with a big bay window and cast iron fireplace. This is a very spacious room with a sofa (sofabed) and lovely William Morris wallpaper. The B&B is tastefully decorated and totally in keeping with the age of the property, which you can has been lovingly restored by the owners. The room was very restful, clean, spacious and the bed was incredibly comfy. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order with lots of choice. We had most things during our two night stay, including the usual full English to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to fresh and fluffy pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Tea, coffee and toast with Sharon’s home-made jam and marmalade were plentiful and tasty. Very comfortable, relaxing and friendly stay.
