Thoroughly enjoyable and a good find.

Would prefer a dishwasher rather than a washing machine, which we wouldn't use. The stairs were very steep; would strongly recommend the addition of a handrail on the upper half of the staircase. Maybe a small dining table in a corner of the living room rather than trying to squeeze into the corner where the small breakfast bar is located. The oven needs cleaning as it was smoking when hot and the sofabed in the living room needs a spray of Fabreeze. I'm no electrician, but as I understand regulations in the UK, the light switch in the bathroom should be a pullcord rather than a standard rocker for H&S reasons.

Location was stunning, quiet road, great views over the fields and farmland! Handy bus route outside and a couple of decent pubs nearby. Garden was a good additional option when it was sunny. Cosy cottage with a wood burner. Clean, well decorated; the owner obviously has an eye for style.

Our only negative, was the bed was a little on the hard side for us, but that's personal preference. Honestly have nothing else bad to say, it was perfect.

The cottage was perfect! So cute and really nicely decorated. Had everything we needed and was really clean! Location was brilliant, lovely and quiet, lots of places to eat nearby. We recommend the Kabin, Hamish's, The Bay Horse, Aroma and Brizola. The views were exceptional, we loved sitting in the garden watching the lambs and birds with a coffee. Lisa was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, very generous. Highly recommended if you want a relaxing cottage break with places to walk and eat.

Nothing. We had a fab time.

It was such a lovely, quaint little place. Nestled in a countryside nest of cottages, I honestly felt like I could have stayed forever. They made it so welcoming and warm, and the owner is really responsive and friendly. The house was clean and the decor beautiful. Bumble bee theme throughout, it was so cute!

The rear garden was a little neglected and the back door had green algae on the outside. It is just the end of winter so I imagine it is still to be attended to but it was a lovely sunny day while we were there so we sat and admired the view and noticed the outside area needed a little tlc.

The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable The stairs are very steep for anyone with mobility issues. A clothes maiden would be handy to help dry off wet coats etc ..

There was nothing we didn’t like, but we did go for Christmas and the kitchen was a little short of a couple of things that would be useful. Plus there’s no actual table just a breakfast bar, but we were able to improvise well.

The property was warm and cosy. Lovely fleecy bedding on the bed! A generous supply of nice thick towels. Lovely outlook & a nice garden, which I’m sure is wonderful in the summer. Lisa was super responsive to any messages. Kitchen was a little short of crockery, could do with a few useful items that were missing! Nice big smart tv! We went for Christmas and it was very prettily decked for the season.

Not major but the sofa is only a two seater so can’t stretch out as much as would like but that’s not a criticism just a personal preference.

This is our 2nd visit this year for a weekend. My dogs are really comfortable here and we spent the weekend avoiding bonfire night as the area is remote and quiet. It’s a really nice sized cottage for two plus dogs and lovely and clean. The sunrise in the back garden overlooking the fields is stunning. If you enjoy the outdoors it’s a great location. We visited top withens in the yorkshire moors on our visit which is only a 30 minute drive away and right next to Howarth. There are some really lovely villages within walking distance such as Barley, Pendle and Rough Lee. My fave place near by which is only a ten minute drive is Barrowford which is beautiful.

Minor point was low beam as you go up the stairs, no sigh to warn you on way up & & not enough batteries available to replace in the carbon monoxide alarm which went off during our stay there.

Breakfast not included so n/a. Location was great for walking & pubs & forest of Bowland so perfect for what we wanted to do

The cottage is lovely. It is cosy and welcoming. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. It also has a nice small garden at the back. It was very clean and Lisa prepared a basket for our shoes, which was great to keep the inside clean. Do take indoor shoes with you as it can be a bit cold with socks in the kitchen.

Water pressure in upstairs taps is affected by location at the top of a hill but the views from the garden are worth it. The Wi-Fi connection wasn’t always great for the TV but I had taken an Ethernet cable just in case so once plugged directly into that we had no more issues. I have left the cable for others to use.

A lovely cottage nestled near Pendle Hill with a stunning countryside view from the garden. small and perfect for 2. Lisa, the owner had provided recommendations for pubs close by that offered good food. We thoroughly enjoyed The Bay Horse (a chicken & ham hock pie was the best I have ever eaten), The Barley Mow and The Kabin, a lovely cafe that welcomes dogs with sausages!) The cottage is gorgeous with a really comfy bed, large Tv with free view, Netflix and other apps and comfy sofas. I would highly recommend.
