I have no critisism of this place.

I shared the bathroom with only one other room, and the bathroom is right next door to the room. I've stayed at place where I've had to walk to another floor. The location is quiet and the bed comfortable.

The bed was far too big and the mattress was a little too firm for my liking. I didn’t sleep very well. leaving our shoes by the door was a little strange but I understand why as the carpets were whiter than snow. The coffee was unpleasant and thought it could have been better quality seen as though it was the only refreshments available in the place. more toilet roll could be provided to prevent having to ask for more if needed. it could be clearer on booking that it was a private home with the host living there, as it only says ‘private host’ but that’s not clear it’s a family home and not just a b&b type accommodation. it felt a little intrusive being in someone’s home. but it was a lovely home none the less.

Nicky was really friendly and accommodating. The house was spotless and the room was very spacious with lots of wardrobe space. the en-suite was clean and presentable and everything worked fine. good communication with the host. very informative .

The transport is not the best, about a 25mins walk from Newhaven Station.

The property is very clean, quiet and the host is very hospitable. I would recommend this property if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing to stay. The host goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need and feel welcomed. Overall, a fantastic choice for a tranquil getaway.

There was some mould in the bathroom, there’s a spray for that. There was only one mug in the room , had to ask for another. Could do with better towels in the bathroom and more than one for two people.

The room was spacious and en-suite well decorated. Location was perfect and quiet. The owner was helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

I didn't like being told about the extra charges after I booked. As far as I can tell this information was only given to me after I had committed to booking. Had I had known a £10 (in cash only) charge would be levelled for arriving after 10pm I would not have booked it. There was also a dangerously wired plug. The white cover of the wire was not inside the plug, instead there were two sets of green and yellow wires forced into one plug. This is highly dangerous and could easily lead to either an electrical fire, or a fraying cable that could lead to electrocution. It needs resolving immediately.

Removing shoes on entry was a bit of a pain but did help keep the carpets clean. The chest of drawers in the bedroom was a bit dusty. The check out time of 9:00 was unusually early but wasn't a major problem this time as we needed to get going. Similarly being told that check in could not be until an hour later at 16:00 was not a problem but could have been phrased better.

Nicky was very welcoming and helped us by putting things in the fridge and providing an extra towel on request. The bathroom was spotlessly clean.

Nicky's lovely house was in a very convenient location for what we needed; my friend and I were walking the nearby Seven Sisters route and doing it in two stages, so we needed the stopover. The property is very conveniently located for anybody taking the ferry, as the terminal is very close by. Nicky was very welcoming and friendly, and she has high standards. Her house is a modern detached on a pleasant housing estate and it is immaculate. My friend and I slept in two comfortable rooms on the first floor and we had exclusive use of the bathroom, which has the usual toilet, sink and then a bath with handheld shower. The bed was comfortable and there are tea-making facilities in the bedrooms. Nicky has also compiled an information pack for local sites, restaurants, etc.

Luxury super king is a great room, very spacious and well equipped. We stayed overnight as it is ideally situated to get the car ferry the following morning. Close to a large variety of amenities and some great eateries. I would definitely consider staying here again when travelling on the car ferry. Lovely host.
