My friend who had booked for a walk in shower as she is disabled, was given a room with a bath. She was not told that she could have used the walk in shower in the sport facility. Although this would have been inconvenient, it would have been better than nothing.

There was a relaxed atmosphere with welcoming and helpful staff.

The hotel is 19th century, and a tad tired looking. However, I believe it is being refurbished. Our bedroom was large and spacious, also had nice colourful furniture, the room did smell fusty (musty). No coffee or milk in room tray. Or hankies on the dressing table. However, I requested some from reception, and these were replenished. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, very dry, some things overcooked. Fried eggs were requested as not on the buffet style breakfast. They were okay.

There was little to dislike. At this price range I don't think you can complain for the level of service provided.

The staff were really friendly, helpful and always on hand with any queries. The facilities were better than most, the pool and sauna were a welcome reward at the end of the day.. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner for both days of our stay and they were of a high quality - and all the staff were kind and generous with their time.

the staff member at reception when we arrived was not the most empathetic when we arrived finding it too late to eat. Swinging about in his chair was a bit maddening to be honest, but the staff member we met in the morning was much more pleasant (perhaps she was sent on a training coursre and the chap in the evening wasn't)

unfortunately we arrived quite late so couldn't eat in the reataurant/bar but the room was clean and comfortable

Some of the staff initially were quite standoffish. But this improved over the 7 days we were there. When we arrived after a long drive from Shropshire, we were told we couldn't eat in the hotel as we planned as they had closed the kitchen to residents for a wedding.

Was a great location for visiting attractions in the area, especially Loch Lomond.

Couldn't get into room reception wasn't very helpful and when arrived wasn't friendly and snapped at me because I thought breakfast was included in price wasn't good I am acarer with my husband that isn't well and got acarers grant so people that work in this industry have to remember we come for abreak and expect to be treated with more respect if they don't have afriendly welcome it's not agood start so I was very disappointed at the lack of hospitality

The room was filthy - dust and grime on skirting and windows, as well as crumbs on carpet. Only one toilet roll and no hand soap (I asked for hand soap but none was delivered to our room despite staying two nights). Room looked as though it was last decorated in the 1980s. I can normally accept dated decor, but no excuse for uncleanliness.

The location was perfect and the leisure facilities and restaurant/bar was very good.

There wasn't enough milk for the tea and coffee in the room. When we asked staff for more we were told there was a shortage.

The location of the hotel was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Local restaurants The Clachan and The Drymen Inn were very good.
