The property had everything we could ask for including a BBQ all the cutlery and even a dishwasher. They even provided milk and cleaning supplies.

I loved the location brilliant for walks and seeing the beautiful lakes.

The directions were great, however it would maybe be easier if they were bullet pointed rather than a paragraph. That is my only point to make it a better experience.

Everything about our stay was perfect. We received great communication from the hosts throughout the whole process and would definitely book to stay again.

My only negative is the price of the cottage, its just a little expensive, but it was lovely

We stayed in hardknott cottage, it was lovely and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, there was a lovely little folder with advice and suggestions on walks. The shared back garden was lovely and had a large river at the back which sounds very nice. There's a little post office where you can get ice-cream which was also nice. Your best buying food before arriving, we arrived quite late due to traffic and found we couldn't get food anywhere. Rookie mistake. However. We then took a 5 minute drive in the morning to another shop to get some amenities. The boot Inn was great for a meal, stops serving food at 8pm and closes at 10pm (which I found fine as we were knackered from walking all day anyway) the pub further down the road called the Brook House inn, we called in at this pub after our walk and it was a pleasant suprise to see that they had a selection of over 200 whiskeys!. All in all, an enjoyable stay with the most serene walks, and sublime landscape. We will definitely be back! We have since told everyone about it!

Travelling through the steep roads but that was our fault

It’s quite peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. The cottage itself is clean and well maintained. Reaching here can be tricky so please don’t follow the sat nav blindly.

Limited car parking space was a bit of a challenge. We had 4 cars so had to do some 'juggling' but the local pub were happy to let us leave a car there..

Beautiful fully equipped cottage in stunning location with all amenities needed for comfortable stay. Wastwater cottage was perfect for our 8 adult family group with plenty of room for us plus 2 medium sized dogs. Two pubs/ resteraunts in easy walking distance with lovely food and typical relaxed Lake District dog friendly ambiance.

Tiny thing in comparison to the excellent features, but the only thing I could fault was the quality of the bed (creaked) and the mattress (not very comfortable) and the pillows could have been better quality, and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up!

Lovely and clean, very well presented with everything you could want, and with a great outdoor space also.

We found the bed and pillows uncomfortable however this was personal preference and not a criticism Greg was proactive in solving this.

The property was very quirky. It was clean, well equipped and peaceful. The owners were very thoughtful in making the property feel like home from home. There were good walks from the cottage. The food at the pub next door was good.
