We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

It has everything you could need, and more. Lots of cute little touches and very very good quality ammenities. The entire house was not only beautiful, but so comfy. We both felt super relaxed and loved the jacuzzi too. Location is brilliant, and almost next door to a REALLY good pub.

Everything, 2nd visit to this stunning cottage and the attention to detail from the owner is superb. After staying in quite a lot of cottages all over the UK Briardene is up with the best. We couldn't recommend Briardene enough from cottage through to location.

United KingdomConfusion about hot tub. Hot tub mentioned in all reviews on booking.com, I did not want to use on this occasion but I was asked to pay £50.00 before arrival for its use. I think the price on booking.com should be clear that this is an extra. I did not pay as I did not use. And I was only there one night.
This venue is a joy Very well presented House. Nice touches on arrival - Milk in fridge and cup cakes. Outside area next to running stream, Beds comfortable. The Owners seam to have everything right.

United KingdomWe would find it difficult to find a fault!! It would be good to have a sheet provided for the beds as personally I found the duvet rather warm. We would have loved to have read about the history of the cottage.
Location very pretty. We loved the valley and village. Briardene Cottage is very tastefully decorated and furnished and the garden and trickling stream a delight. The fresh flowers, cakes and chocolates were a thoughtful touch, as well as the milk in the fridge! Every room was gorgeous and meant we relaxed immediately. It was the perfect place to celebrate my sons graduation from Plymouth University. We would love to return.
