My room was very small which was ok for my one night stay. I had to move the bed a little in order to plug in the bedside light. Because of the hot weather I left the sash window wide open, it closed itself during the night but I still slept well.

Hotel conveniently situated at the corner of the market square and a good sized car park at the back. As meals not provided I went to a local supermarket and did my own breakfast in my room. The previous evening I had a fabulous meal in a nearby Italian restaurant.

£25 per night for a dog to stop over is very expensive compared to other hotels. Couldn’t use the bathroom basin as the plug was stuck in the plug hole.

Not so much didn’t like but other parents might find useful to know. It wasn’t clear from booking.com that the room only had a double bed. When I booked I entered 2 adults and a 5 year old into the search and this property came up. It wasn’t until I received further information after booking and through research on trip adviser I could see children under 6 are expected to share a small double bed with parents. Just to note we decided to continue with the booking we could have cancelled at this point. However the bed is a SMALL double. I had at least hoped it might be king sized!

Clean room, we were moved to a larger room to give us more space. Friendly staff Large off road car parking Central to pubs and restaurants.

Bigger shower cubicle - it was pretty small and my husband banged his elbows off the walls and taps every time he moved, but we managed. Wouldn't have enjoyed using it more than once or twice though. Whole building felt unloved and pretty stark.

Room was fine for a night or two, it was basic but it had everything we needed.

For the price it was really good. Clean warm, hot shower, comfy bed. Staff were really helpful. Allowed me to store my bike with no issues. It isn't posh, but if u want a cheap comfy place it's worth stopping by 👍

We don't have any negatives on this occasion. The bed was a bit smaller than we have at home, but quite adequate, so to complain about it would be petty! Some might not like uneven floors, but we thought they were in keeping with a period hotel.

Helpful receptionist pointed us to a good place to eat which was superb. All we needed was a place to stay and it was just right for the job. There were USB sockets to charge our phones, so we didn't need the adaptor that we brought with us.

Shower was pathetic - underpowered and temperature very variable. Water temperature in taps took 5 minutes of running to become warm. Pillows very flat and nothing to lean against the hard headboard with and as there was nowhere to sit it would have helped to have pillows to lean against.

Location good, parking excellent. Ease of access excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities good which was replenished each day.

WiFi didn’t work properly. So slow it wouldn’t even open news pages. Bath was very slippery and there is nothing to hold onto so getting in and out of the bath was risky.

Location is great, staff are friendly, no problem with parking

We stayed two nights in room 37 it was spotless and very comfortable.. reception was lovely and very friendly . Would recommend especially room 37 it was very quiet .
