Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Excellent location for us. The house was spotlessly clean and a lovely size. We had a great stay and were able to visit family local to the area.

United KingdomParking was a little limited. 4 double bedrooms property so that is potentially 8 adults/4 cars, but could park on street so not a massive issue. Could have done with more plates & cutlery had to improvise when it came to eating. On the whole a lovely well appointed property and would recommend.

United KingdomGood as usual accept when we arrived it appears that the owners wash the bedding and towels themselves as they were all hanging up in the garden on the fence and over the hallway banisters drying when we came in. Not the best first impressions I must say.
I’ve visited before and all good in terms of modern and location.

United KingdomThere were a lot of cobwebs, spiders and flies in the house. There was wet washing in the washing machine and wet towels hanging up in the airing cupboard. The bedding was ok but tired looking. Not much attention to detail in the rooms. The bedrooms also had no furniture to put clothes or anything on which was strange. There were also no hooks for coats downstairs either so we struggled with this. We ended up sharing the one wardrobe. We also needed mirrors in the bedrooms and a larger mirror in the bathrooms. This was a ladies trip away and we felt the facilities were limited for us as female. There was also not a hairdryer although the landlord did offer to bring one it was too late by this time so we just towel dried our hair. There was limited furniture overall and the dining table only seated 4 people which was a shame. The seats were very uncomfortable and it was tight to sit round. We bought Prosecco glasses from Tesco so it might be worth purchasing these as often people drink fizz when away. We found the cups and glasses limited overall. The last thing that could do with sorting out was the old cereal and foods some of which were stale in the cupboards. They probably need a clear out.
The house was a lovely modern build and it was pretty clean and the carpets were well hoovered. It was spacious and the kitchen had most things we needed. The host was friendly. We enjoyed our stay but there are a few areas we feel need improving.
