    Perfect for SPA holiday.

Idea with gin carafe in the room is interesting but questionable in terms of execution… the carafe is not sealed, and judging by the amount of the liquid when we checked in, is not placed fresh for each guest? I’m concerned any guest can add anything into the bottle making it not safe for others to drink. Perhaps the bottle is emptied after each guest but in that case, amount that was waiting for us in the room was ridiculously tiny… which also defeats the purpose. Perhaps some sort of a sealed carafe would be best! And the price - very punchy, but SPA experience may be worth it!

SPA area is great - worth booking this hotel only because of the SPA wet area! Heated indoor pool, hydrothermal pool, two jacuzzis and sauna. Everything looked clean. Room was beautifully decorated, and despite being side sea view closer to the nightlife, was not noisy on the 4th floor even on a bank holiday. Sound isolation actually was pretty good! Comfortable bed. Nespresso machine in the room and fully stocked mini-bar. Perfect location!

The rooms are tiny for the cost - we knew at booking the rooms might be on the small size but it was so tiny for the amount payable per night. There could be better design/layout/storage solutions to maximise the tiny room space. Also we saw too much of the underbelly of the hotel, bags of laundry over where, open crew only rooms etc.

Great location, lovely interior and great spa facilities.

The guests on our floor were incredibly noisy up throughout the night but staff responded very quickly.

The location was great. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming. The free gin was welcomed!

Room wasn't quiet as luxurious as pictures showed. Paid for one of the more expensive rooms as it was a birthday treat for partner - room felt cramped, door for bathroom when opened was touching the bed and the light switch was outside behind the door. Bathroom was very narrow and had 2 sinks so had to squeeze past to use toilet and nearly impossible for both of us to be in bathroom at same time. Sea view room but you could tell windows aren't regularly cleaned, bird poo on the windows (which I get as we're by the beach but didn't look new). Room air-conditioning was not working which made sleeping quite uncomfortable, paired with the nightlife noise of bass until 3am! Again, on beach front so noise was expected but kept us awake as the room was also very warm.

Lovely spa, felt very luxurious. Beds in rooms were very big and comfy! Birthday message plate on arrival which was a nice touch.

The staff were really unfriendly. I went up to the front desk to ask where to go for the spa and the man behind the desk (he had white hair and was wearing glasses) barely looked at me and said “downstairs” and as I was walking away I heard him and another woman (petite with dark brown hair) giggling, making me feel like an idiot. Maybe don’t laugh at your customers while they’re in the room.

Location was great, spa facilities also

Never having been to Brighton before, access to the hotel when arriving by car was confusing to say the least. Not wanting to park on the double yellows out the front to transfer suitcases, I thought there would perhaps be a rear access , so drove further on and turned left and left again, phoned reception who advised it was okay to stop on the double yellows !! A couple of days after I was home I had two fines for driving in a bus lane ! I booked through Booking.com so didn't see the advice to park first ! Will come by train next time.

Fabulous room overlooking the sea with table and two chairs in the window allowing people/beach/sea watching in comfort .

I completely disagree on NEGATIVE statement in general and to put it in the reception area as a welcoming remark saying “ You are dirty “ or something with a celebrity images on it or images of disproportionate messages I find it highly INAPPROPRIATE which I highly recommend to be removed and change to a theme of aromatherapy to match with your amazing facilities and give your reception area such welcoming scent of aromatherapy also with therapeutic calming music to infuse POSITIVE Energy .

Sauna, steam room, ambiance , hydrotherapy , Scandinavian bath like jacuzzi , huge resting area amazing soft pillows , multiple choices of entertainment . A wonderful stay and good value for money . Friendly staff.

As above. Everything else was great.

I liked the hotel especially the spa which was clean and well kept if a little on the small size. The only thing I found was that I couldn't get the heated towel rail and the radiator in my room to work but that may just have been me!

It was expensive. Common areas a little tired. Reception was not that of a £420 a night hotel. Underwhelming! The worst thing was the extra charge to use the facilities. This is totally unexceptable. Either hide the cost in the room cost or don’t charge it at all. Terrible management idea!!

The bar area was great as was the room

Make sure you book directly to get free spa access. We were not aware of this until arrival and will cost you an additional £10pp if you book through booking.com.

Loved the spa areas, they were well maintained and a great addition to the stay. We actually got an upgraded room which was brilliant. The larger double is a lot better size than the small double. Staff were really polite and helpful.

Whilst the location is wonderful being on the sea front & central and the views are great, it is also the only negative in that it is also extremely noisy late at night with party goers. The triple glazed windows do a good job to quiet it down.

We had a terrible sleep, hotel is an old building with very thin walls, so we heard people going into there rooms at 1am, heard people getting up and going to the toliet, heard people outside the hotel. We also didn't find the bed comfortable, mattress was lovely and super big, but pillows and duvets were duck feather, which isn't to our personal taste, as they made us very hot and very uncomfortable. Did not have restful sleep.

Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and professionally. Spa was incredible and the facilities, room exceed our expectations.
