This place is a proper gem, everything is good, great food in the bar - home made quality meals and lots of it, real ale, nice big rooms, lovely country side location, friendly staff, five minutes from Wootton Bassett, perfect.

The staff are absolutely lovely, they made us feel at home. The food was pretty good...Mister is a funny eater and he was impressed! Location is beautiful, room was comfortable, clean. I love this place and next time we're in Swindon we'll definitely be staying again

Put towel on rail on bathroom when I arrived and it came off the wall on one side - something or nothing but needs checking for minor details The outside could do with some TLC but the weather has been terrible recently so not really a fault at this time of year

There was no one around when we checked out. I realise it is a family run concern that cannot always be manned but just a notice would be good to highlight where the key should be left.

Jo, the publican, was very friendly when we checked in. She gave us a better, ground floor room for my disabled grandma (I did not even have to ask). All staff in the pub were very helpful both at dinner and breakfast. The room has recently been refurbished, everything was very clean and new. Very good value for money for the 3 of us. Good food in the pub at dinner. Tasty full English breakfast, with fruit, cereals and yogurt also available.

For health and safety reasons, the shower needs a non-slip mat. The light over the washbasin didn't work.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with shower cubicle larger than you usually find. The shower itself was good with plenty of water without being wasteful of water. There were enough power points which were easy to reach as they were at waist height. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. It was charged according to what you ate.

TV could have been bigger as some distance from bed. Heating not good. Owner said he only puts heating on from 6pm to 10pm. Not adequate enough to heat room to our requirements. Hot water supply only warm and with low pressure.

Bedroom very clean and modern with good wi-fi. Our evening meal was excellent; staff very professional and knowledgeable. Parking outside entrance.
