Stayed for one night only and didn't have time to make the most of facilities. Were met by the host who gave us a brief tour of the building. Everything was perfect and just what we needed. It is about a 15 min walk from City Centre but using the riverside trail makes it a very pleasant walk. Lovely terrace area overlooking the Wear. Great stay!

Good location for Sunderland City Centre great room very comfortable, clean and ideal with three single beds for our stay. Self serve kitchen with cereals, bread butter jams milk in fridge to make a hot drink. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus

Bed was a little soft for me but I appreciate that is personal choice and would be liked by others. It was comfortable though.

Lovely old building with some very steep stairs to upper floors. Nice shared balcony over looking river. Very warm reception from host. Shared kitchen with breakfasting supplies. Nice character rooms.

Nothing really, although on a main road and in the Sunday night it was very noisy… nothing to do with the hotel! Monday night was quiet.

Near the river, quirky property! Diana and her staff were so friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Various breakfast items provided with a brilliant, clean shared kitchen, extra tea, coffee and sugar as well as what was provided in the room. Brilliant, hot shower! Clean room, comfy bed.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, who walked me through all the hotel's amenities, and asked any questions about the city as well. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the bathroom well set-up.

Full of history. Sympathetically renovated/ decorated. 24/7 access to small kitchen with cereals/toast/ hot beverages. Lovely location on river. Only 15 minutes walk to stadium of light ground.

Stairs to room quite steep but there was a sign saying this is due to it being an historic old building.

We had a comfortable, good sized room overlooking the river, and the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was available in the kitchen area. or you could sit out on the patio. The free parking was useful and it was a short walk into the city centre.

Access to the hotel is by a rather steep staircase so if you’re travelling with a lot of luggage or large sporting equipment or have mobility issues then this may not be the place for you.

It’s set on the river with some nice views. The hotel is above an excellent Italian restaurant and shares access to an outdoor terrace on the river front where the restaurant has live music some evenings (music finished before 10pm) The hotel does not offer breakfast but guests have use of a fully equipped kitchen and bread, cereal, tea, coffee, milk etc are all provided.

The only downside for us was the steep stairs we were on the top floor and my partner struggled a bit with them as she has copd. Other than that we had a good stay.

Lovely location on the river nice clean rooms and help your self to toast and cereal, great views of sunderland from the patio, the restaurant has got great reviews too but we didn't use it. Diana the owner met ur on arrival and showed us round, she's lovely..

The hosts were friendly and welcoming,parking is free on site and it is in easy reach of the city centre and stadium of light.The kitchen amenities were an added bonus and the terrace is lovely with great views

The room was clean and a decent size, and the owner Diana was lovely . Nice communal kitchen, but the highlight is the location on the river and the lovely little outdoor seating area just off the kitchen with a great view.
