If I want to be fussy, the room I had was a bit small and could do with a little refresher but it was very clean and well maintained.

Very caring and helpful staff, they were all ears all time I have spend there, thank you. Beautiful and comfortable restaurant with different sitting places. Breakfast was great and it was very peaceful to be surrounded by farms.

Morning service was not good. Untrained junior staff appeared to be left to it by whomever was meant to be in charge. Simple small things like no spoons for the cereals,no decent coffee, not knowing how to raise an invoice, they appeared totally at sea. Such a shame given how nice the venue is.

The setting is beautiful and the evening staff were very helpful and friendly. Ample parking very quiet.

Expensive for what it was, wanted to charge £30 for checking in a hour early. Made a mistake booking and then charged an extra £80 for the 2nd guest. Seems to be run by an absentee owner leaving the young team to it ( who were great but had no Authority ) - No menu at breakfast just offered a full English or veg option , then told we don’t serve baked beans. Stay was £249 for 16 hours in an unremarkable room over priced

Unremarkable place so not much to say really

The room was a *little* bit dusty and the furniture a little bit worn out. The mattress on the bed could also use a bit of investment. The adjacent rooms are a bit "close" (I could hear someone snoring next door).

The breakfast is superb and freshly prepared to order on the day. The front of house staff are great and very engaging. The room was spacious with a great shower and excellent television. Coffee, water, etc., were all made available. The location is peaceful and also aside from the restaurant/bar area.

The rooms are in a row of a converted wooden shed. They are fine as such, but most look directly onto the car-park so you have to keep curtains drawn, it got very hot so you want the window open, and the soundproofing was inadequate. I personally consider that if you advertise a bath room, then it should contain a bath. It did not. The staff were officious rather than friendly; I wanted cereal for breakfast, but "We DO NOT DO cereals" which seems ludicrous to me.

Comfy bed and an excellent walk in shower

Not particularly child friendly - no kids menu/options in restaurant. Staffing obvs an issue and we sat for a while in the restaurant without even getting a drink before deciding to dine elsewhere. Room was clean and nicely decorated, but several panes of glass on window was broken and one of the windows didn’t open, which was annoying in a very hot evening. Overall hotel and room was nice, but certainly not worth £275 paid.

Location was good; room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous and well served.

There was nothing we didn't like at all

We had a night away from the kids and The Blazing Donkey was perfect for it, accomodation was perfect, Breakfast was delicious and the staff were polite, funny and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend it to anyone for a cheeky night off from the kids or for a venue for family gatherings etc really, I can't speak highly enough of this place, Sandra is a wonderful hostess she's on the ball and very welcoming and really takes the time to give you alot of attention without being over the top. Thank you guys for a great stay we will definitely be back!

Red carpet in room 22 could do with replacing or professionally cleaned. Room 7's carpet was spotless.

Staff were SO friendly and very patient, professional and gentle as it turned out to be a difficult time for us. I must commend Clint very highly indeed. It's people like him and his authentic and innate understanding of what 'hospitality' means who make good hotels excellent hotels. Thank you very much. I will most definitely recommend your hotel and the gorgeoussssss donkeys across the road.

Rooms are dated, dusty and uncomfortable. Staff came across super flustered at the littlest things and ranging from passive aggressive to rude. None of them should be in hospitality.

    Nice location and approach.
