The location couldn’t be better! The quality of food served is very high. The staff are an absolte pleasure and if you’re lucky enough to stay there, you wont want to leave.

We had a really lovely few nights at Blas at Fronlas!! We’ve both left feeling like we would love to visit Newport again and have another stay with these guys:) -We received a lovely friendly welcome, shown to our room and it was made sure that we were comfortable on arrival -The room was fabulous, the decor, cleanliness, comfort, warmth and amenities were all spot on! -Breakfast was included and there was enough variations on the menu that we had something different every morning, which was all delicious & also the cafe is just such a lovely space too:) 5 stars all around and we hope to return at some point in the future!

Location was perfect. Owners were very friendly, they even contacted early to say our room was ready, Breakfast was really nice in the little cafe downstairs.

Breakfast taken in the cafe was delicious every morning, varied and flexible choices and included fabulous local produce. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. It felt more like staying with friends than just using accommodation.

The room was beautiful, with a view of the sea. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was served in the cafe below and was delicious.

Nothing really, perhaps the weather, but it is February and while it rained on and off ,it did not take from our visit.

Arrived with trepidation, as we normally stay at a small pub with rooms and this was our first experience of a B & B. We need not have worried, Martina welcomed us in her special Irish welcoming way,nothing was too much trouble, the food was especially good and wholesome. Our room was excellent and the arrangement for entering and leaving the premises outside of cafe hours was very comfortable..& workable. We were told to help ourselves to anything from the cafe as they run with an honesty bar and all we had to do , tell her next day what we had taken from the cafe area. Breakfast was excellent both days ,our only disappointment was that on this visit we were not available for lunch, on reflection we did have the cawl when we arrived which again was excellent. In fact we purchased 2 portions of cawl to take with us on our departure, for us to enjoy once we got home (3 hour drive). Newport was equally enjoyable, we watched half (2nd half) of the rugby in one of the local pubs , a single Irishman amongst a very excited and disappointed pub full of very friendly Welsh supporters, who made us very welcome. In the evening we went for our evening meal in another Newport pub, great food and great welcome. Will return to Newport and Blas later in the year and enjoy the beach etc. Would highly recommend. Nearly forgot, Archie out dog was really made welcome, great place for dogs and dog owners. Aidan

Martina and Jason are wonderful hosts and great to chat with. Rooms were well equipped, cosy & warm. The breakfast was perfect. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Newly refurbished room 3 is amazing! Well done both. I also commend the small army of support staff who were also attentive and polite.

Everything about this location was lovely -- from the location in town, proximity to various restaurants and cafes, it was all exceptional. It has a real classic B&B feel, food, service, everything was amazing. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful.

Rooms are exactly like the photos, there is a fantastic lounge upstairs you can use throughout your stay with a TV, fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee machine, thia room has views of the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful they made time for you and made you feel very welcome

There wasn't anything we didn't like but the en-suite is quite small and a towel hook would be useful.

Tina and Jason were very friendly and welcoming, they were always ready to chat and help with ideas for activities. There was a shared living room upstairs with coffee and views of the sea and coast and there's a garden at the back for evening use. Great breakfast! There are great walks from the door and several options for eating out. We would definitely stay again.
