The location is accessible but very noisy, didn’t sleep well due to the sheer volume of outside noise. Windows don’t stop the sound at all. The beds were on wheels on wooden floors and moved a great deal every time you turned or sat on the bed. Our bathroom was also in the corridor which with a thin partition wall, adapted. It was modern but there’s a big glass pain at the top and another guest was waving their hands at it whilst we were showering

Rooms are very well decorated and large, staff were great. Breakfast was lovely, fresh bottled water available. Clothes steamer and hairdryer in room.

Some Noise from a busy main street so we kept the window shut at night. We had a room at the top, no lift and steep stairs,- but we got help with our luggage all the way🍀

An old and charming Hotel with modernized rooms and style. Very good service and food.

The only minor improvement that can be suggested is breakfast, which is too basic even for continental. A few more options would go a long way.

Clean, comfortable and close to the underground, as well as overground station, this small hotel is run by fantastic staff and can be considered a great value for money, compared to the default London rates (May 2024). Rooms are spacious and well equipped with amenities, while complimentary daily bottled water was a much appreciated bonus. The absolute highlight is the gorgeous (and famous) pub on the ground floor, where we spent most evenings.

Lovely room and breakfast in a lovely building - still working out the kinks.

We were a bit disappointed with the location. We had no problems specifically, being just a couple blocks from the tube or the bus right outside. The neighbourhood was just not quite what we expected. We also wished we could contact the hotel administration/management. As there is no phone in the room nor information on how to reach them if we needed help. Luckily we caught the assistant manager just be for he left the restaurant to get help with our room. If we had missed him - we would have been out of luck. (Quite concerning if we had been locked out or had some other emergency) - Understandably the guest house is still working out the kinks as it has only been about a year in the works

The room was very comfortable and we received help with our bags upstairs. The breakfast was fresh and we were want for nothing.

The unique climate of the room comes at a price of its acoustics. The wooden floors and wooden, uninsulated windows make the room very noisy (both from the steps of neighbors upstairs, as well as any street noise). We were too tired after whole days of sightseeing, but if someone needs silence to get a good night sleep it may be interrupted. But I still call it fully worth it :)

Beautiful pub / guesthouse with a great atmosphere. Spacious rooms, great food a'la carte, breakfasts modest but tasty. Kind and helpful staff.

Just be aware if you have mobility problems there is no lift and a fair amount of stairs.

The only negative was the electrics didn’t work properly on the headboard.

The stairs to get to the room is very steep. Lifting luggage to and from the room was taxing.

The accommodations were very clean and we found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. I love the traditional quarters and the fact we could open the windows and look out into the Main Street. Transportation to and from the pub was easy. Train stations are in short walking distance and the bus transports stop just outside The Black Lion Pub & Boutique. The food by the way was also amazing

Kilburn has a plethora of chains and takeouts and a shortage of nice, interesting sit-down places to eat. Interestingly, the Black Lion is one of those places, and you can easily see it's popularity. There's also a very nice Italian place nearby.

Rooms are quiet, comfy, and cleaned daily. High marks to the mattress. Breakfast (included) was tasty and full of variety. High Kilburn Road is a bit outside central London, so you need to take the Underground or bus a short distance to get into the business/historic parts of town. But Kilburn is on the Jubilee Line and on a bus line that goes down Abbey Road (a surprise discovery). There's also aboveground service pretty much all the way to Gatwick.

Close to tube + overground trains (5 min max on foot). Perfectly considered + delivered. Room was spacious, pleasing in its design + equipped to highest standard. The food in the restaurant/bar was as good as any + superior to many more fancied restaurants + good value for money into the bargain. Continental-type breakfast: all fresh + tasty. A gem of a place . Great credit to the management + staff. Thanks.

Our plugs kept tripping due an electrical issue but the team were very helpful sorting it out Otherwise everything was exceptional

Loved staying at the Black Lion. It was a very comfortable stay. My husband and I arrived a few hours before check in and we were allowed to have an earlier check in. Our room was clean and fresh. We were given complimentary waters each day. The continental breakfast each morning was fresh and well presented. Not many options for breakfast but I thought it was adequate. The building is beautiful and the pub is exceptional. The area around the Black Lion was lively and safe, nearby bus & train stops. Will definitely recommend staying here

No air conditioning would be my only complaint. Despite lots of street noise the room was quiet with windows shut but needed ventilation/cooling on the hot days we were there (high 70s F).

Beautifully appointed rooms, large, comfortable beds, wash cloths (!), fabulous shower, excellent continental breakfast and friendly/helpful staff.

It was a good distance from the popular spots and Heathrow, but the underground isn’t a far walk from the guesthouse. No real complaints.

The room was very nice, it overlooked the street which was very busy at night. The room was a comfortable size for two. The gentlemen who worked there helped us carry our bags up the steps. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even held our bags after check out. Continental breakfast in the pub was just enough each morning. The pub is beautiful and their Sunday roast was fabulous!
