Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomIt is well hidden in a secluded corner in Digbeth. Streets around are quiet and dark , mostly non-residential area , felt so unsafe to walk through at night and very early morning. Front droor is stuck could do with a bit of W60. Very noisy , walls are very thin could hear conversation of neighbours , there is always washing machine in ground floor running at night not to mention trains crossing over a nearby bridge. Mattress is either very cheap or very old , springs were digging into my flesh and bones. In morning I had to wait at least good precious 15 minutes for warm water to come through either the tap or the shower. Customer service don't really respond, contacted them when I couldn't find the property first night but no answer.

United KingdomThe property is located in an area of the city where there is a lot of construction going on. It was very difficult to find this property because of many disruptions to the roads. In addition, the area was full of homeless people and some drug addicts. It was poorly lit and didnt feel safe at all. I was concerned a out my own safety as well as the safety of my car throughout the stay especially as I had to walk back to the room later in the evenings. The ‘free parking’ was advertised with the flat but I was told by the property manager to pay 250gbp deposit to park my car. Thankfully, I didnt have to pay this. Overall, the whole experience was fraught with complications and its not a place I’d like to stay again.
The service was responsive when I ran into problems with check in. They called me back promptly despite it being out of hours.

No sink, no tea-towel. The kitchen equipment was sparse - 3 mugs, 2 side plates, 1 dinner plate, 1 glass and some cutlery. Run down area. The location although close to city centre was a bit rough and surrounded by abandoned and dilapidated buildings. The main door was left open a few times. It didn't feel safe.

United KingdomEntrance door lock malfunctioning, Lodger helped us into accommodation at night because door wouldn't open. Bedsprings protruding through mattress, microwave not cleaned, tea, coffee, sugar canisters empty and dirty. Nail clippings on carpet by window, bathroom floor dirty, stairs to room dirty. Enough toilet paper for one use, staying 3 nights, not acceptable. Wall/ scirting by coffee table dirty. Accommodation difficult to find as no name on building or on directions given. Only one sink, so had to wash delph in bathroom sink, no tea towel. How you as a business find all this acceptable is beyond us. Its a single room with some white goods in it, not a proper studio, and not as advertised. Take heed of reviews and give the place a good clean and bring up to standard.
