There is absolutely nothing to improve on at all.

Birds Edge is like a home from home. All we had to provide was our food. It was peaceful. The views from the bedroom window was just beautiful.

Access to back garden was difficult as door was swollen and very difficult to close and lock once opened so did not access the rear garden.

The location was very handy to meet up with family. The cottage was very clean with great facilities such as large comfortable sofas, dining table, kitchen utensils, TV, 2 sinks in the bathroom, downstairs toilet and back garden area. Great communication with the host.

Nothing at all to dislike

Absolutely beautiful cottage, extremely comfortable beds, immaculately clean, perfect location, fantastic host - there is nothing at all to fault! My wife and I wanted to do a little W.Yorks break for our wedding anniversary which was close to fun activities and shopping - we booked this cottage and it didn't disappoint. Only a short drive to Leeds, Junction 32 and Xscape Yorkshire which were our main reasons for visiting - we also checked out somewhere called Cannon Hill Farm. Overall we had a truly fantastic time. Ben is a lovely host who was there to help from the moment we booked until the moment we checked out. Absolute 100/10 host! If your reading wondering whether to book - DO IT! We travel often and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to family and friends! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

If I was being pretty, maybe some milk to make a coffee after a long drive, although that is difficult as everybody has different tastes in the milk that I use, maybe a little bit more control over heating as the heating is on a timer and when we arrived, it was very cold downstairs

The doorstep area is not well lit at all, and we had some problems getting into the key safe, but messages to the owner were quickly responded to. It was a worry, however that if we had turned up later we may not have been able to get in touch at all! I was fortunate to have been able to get away from work early in London. Also, the wooden area in front of the house was very slippery, so much so that my friend slipped over on this surface and hurt herself, thankfully not badly. Perhaps this area should be roped off in the winter months.

The property was amazing and far exceeded our expectations, it was clean, modern, with neutral colour schemes, functional and very comfortable sofas and beds. High quality soft furnishings, soaps, towels. And also nice touches within the kitchen area with some condiments, tea coffee, washing machine and other things such as oil etc that you don't usually remember to buy! The property is within a small courtyard development away from the main town. so it is quiet and private. It overlooks fields so you will not be bothered with much noise etc. A perfect area for taking it easy or heading into the hills for some hiking. We probably could have spent a week at the property and not even have to venture out, given the board games provided and the BBQ's left in the garden!

It was warm and welcoming, easy access and family friendly. Perfect for us. The host, Ben, has amazing communication with information on hand, no question is to much to ask! The house is absolutely perfect!! Lovely to get there and be able to feel at home.

I could not find anything I didn’t like.

When entering the cottage it was very clean and tidy and the kitchen was fully stocked with every modern kitchen appliance. The living area had 2 very comfortable sofas , 1 of which had a great view of the very nice tv with great access to sky tv. Bedrooms was very clean and tidy. Beds was very comfortable. Shower room / toilet was spotless. We spent 3 nights at this property and we will book here again. The whole place had the wow factor. 5*+ Highly recommend.

There is absolutely nothing not to like about this beautiful cottage. Everything was just perfect.

Just loved this cottage, well mainted and beautifully furnished. Has everything you could wish for the owners have thought of everything! Views are stunning and it is so peaceful yet in easy access to Holmfirth and the surrounding countryside.
