Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI was a little disappointed that the staff when charging my credit card upon arrival mentioned I probably wanted the charge it to be converted to USD. I forgot that this is a scam to simply add more money to my bill to show me the usd price. It cost $100 usd simply to show that to me. Wish they would not take advantage of a tenant. Let the street vendors do that.
Location was good

New ZealandThe room was very small with a frosted window. The room shook every time a train passed below on the underground From 6 am till about midnight. Paint peeling off the wall and the bathroom door didn’t open fully without hitting the entry door.
The location was perfect. So close to Paddington station and walking distance to Hyde park and the museums. Clean

JapanI'm afraid the floor was not vacuumed. Not so clean. The stairs were so steep. The water pressure in the shower is too weak.
The location was great. The staff in the dining room for breakfast were very kind and cheerful. I enjoyed full English breakfast.

AustraliaNo elevator, however staff accommodated our request for a low floor which we appreciated. Expensive, but that’s London!
Fantastic location 3min walk from Paddington Station & 5-10min walk to Hyde Park. Reasonable sized room for 2 people with 2 large suitcases. Very good full English breakfast.

United KingdomTiny basement room, but ok for one night's stay.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was able to leave a small bag under the counter all day when I checked out, collecting it before I returned home. Good hairdryer in room. Extremely comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Plenty of hot water for shower.

FranceVery noisy! Not so much the adjacent rooms, which I could hear at times, but the tube goes right underneath the hotel, making noise as late as midnight and again early in the morning. It's not just background noise either, the whole room shook with it! And the bed and pillow weren't very comfortable so it was hard to fall asleep when the tube did calm down. Breakfast was down a very steep set of stairs. You leave your keys at reception each time you go out, which makes very little sense to me... And it wasn't Dirty but it was not exactly clean either, lots of dust and suspicious spots that for a second I worried might be lice (they were not, but that's not a question I like to need to ask myself in a hotel room...) The window looked onto an light well with only a wall in front.
Ground floor room quite accessible, decent breakfast, decent location close to Paddington with the tube 2 minutes away. Helpful staff.

AustraliaWe were downstairs, so below street level. You could hear the trains from the Underground at this level. It didn't bother us, but it may be an issue for some.

CyprusThe sheets in the bed were not very clean (to my pillow case there was a brown spot) and the shower has some dirt in the wall.
The room size for a single person was small as I expected but somehow it fitted two 20kg suitcases. The hotel is just 2 minutes away from Paddington station. The breakfast was okay - the continental choice was worth for the yogurt and the fruits.

FinlandEnglish breakfast was disappointment. Several reviews said its good, so perhaps issue were my expectations based on previous English breakfast. Breakfast room was very small,so prepare to wait, if you are hungry around rush hours.
Great location, very close to Paddington station. Restaurants and pubs nearby, and small supermarket. Reasonably priced when comparing other hotels in London. We asked for room with balcony and we were lucky to get one. I cannot say I liked noises coming from metro, but that is something which you cannot avoid, only accept. And they are not running during nights, so you will get good sleep anyhow. Hotel is located end of the street, so it was quiet area.
