The guest conservatory area just felt a little tired compared the the rooms, but a good area to sit and read out of the bedroom

The views from the room were amazing. A quiet location set in the hillside from where to explore. Homemade cake in the room on arrival and replenished daily was delicious as were the breakfasts. The menu was varied and plentiful with a great selection of homemade and fresh ingredients. Jeremy was the perfect attentive host to complement the delightful food coming from Helen in the kitchen Good location for a course I was booked onto at Oldfield Forge.

Not a dislike but guests should be aware that the property enjoys an elevated position and that the drive is quite steep with no turning space at the top so you have to reverse down. Also, that there are quite a few steps up to the property.

Excellent breakfast with wide choice of cooked food and home made granola, preserves bread etc, plus fresh fruit and yogurts. Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom with home made cake provided daily. Lovely view over the Wye Valley from the bedroom. Guests have the use of a sunny conservatory at the rear of the property.

Perfect location, you don’t need a TV in the room with windows looking out across the river Wye and to the hills beyond.

There was nothing I would change from my stay. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and both times it has been faultless.

The breakfast was great with wide range of choice from cereal , porridge, fruit salad, pancakes and full English. The location is beautiful over looking the river Wye.

Nothing I can think of could be improved: for the price, this was great value for money and you'd have to pay a lot more to get a palace!

I liked everything about this place: spotless cleanliness, sumptuous breakfasts, homemade cakes in your room every day, a lovely view from my window, and warm hospitality from friendly, helpful and efficient hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing! It was just perfect. Only negative was that we couldn't stay any longer.

From the moment you arrive you get the best welcome. The house is as beautiful from the outside as it is inside. Everything is immaculately clean. To make your stay even more special, there are the extra touches, with home-made cakes and biscuits in the room, a little fridge too, a conservatory available to the guests with all the essentials to sit back and relax with a takeaway if like us you failed to find somewhere serving food when we wanted it. And then there's breakfast... Wow! All so fresh and again homemade hash browns, homemade bread, fresh fruit salad, beautiful homemade pancakes just to list a few of the many beautiful things available to choose from. Great location to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. We just can't wait to stay there again.

Fabulous breakfasts with lots of choice and yummy cakes in our room, which had everything you could need - en-suite, fridge, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, even a small ironing board! The location was central to everywhere we wanted to go.
