A little more cleaning maybe! Furniture, especially cupboard, moved to get rid of cobwebs.

The property is situated near the main road so it was a bit noisy at night, as we’re not used to nightime traffic. Having said that, it was hot so we had all the windows open, I expect it wouldn’t be so bad when the windows are closed.

Nice clean room with plenty of space. Liked the idea of breakfast in the room. Very good value for money.

In an ideal world, a cooked breakfast is a pleasure when you are away, but I didn't need it on this occasion.

My wife booked it for me, so I didn't have preconceptions. Communication was great, directions were good. It was near the location I needed to be at. It was a large room that could take 3. It has a large table / desk which was useful for me. Bathroom was great, with plenty of hot water. Bathroom wasn't on suite, but that didn't matter to me. Continental style breakfast was fine for me on this occasion, and kettle, toaster and microwave are all in the room, which meant that I didn't have to waste a lot of time going out for supper as I had some studying to do. (Large Tesco 10 mins away) Suited my needs. Thank you.

The host was very welcoming and we loved how breakfast was arranged. The facilities in the room were good. Really good shower.

Only downside was the private bathroom was across the hall, not ensuite, but this was mentioned on the listing.

Very comfortable bed, large room with fridge and toaster and microwave. Food was left for a DIY breakfast in the room which was lovely.

We didn't find the chairs arround table or the settee very comfortable.

We liked that the room was on the large side. It was good that we could just let ourselves in.

Whatever the layer was that was under the bedsheet was not fixed very well and kept bunching up into ridges which made the bed less comfortable as the night went on. Breakfast is bread and cereal based only, there is no cooked food available, so if you want something hot, or can't eat bread or cereal, best to bring it yourself and heat it in the microwave. And the wild-life! Everywhere I've stayed in this corner of the country seems to have an issue with spiders living around the windows! I don't know why, but they never seem to get vacuumed away, so there were one or two cobwebs, but not a major issue for me really. I accidentally left the window open with the light on one evening and a moth the size of a small bird came in and attempted to break out through the ceiling, but after a 10 minute chase I managed to catch it and put it outside again :)

Bed was huge and initially comfortable. Room was large and fairly clean, though was looking a little tired. TV service was excellent and included Internet channels as well, YouTube, Netflix etc. if you want to login with your own credentials that's fine. The area was really quiet except for the odd car on the adjacent road, but few and far between. Parking was great, plenty of space at the front. Mike, the guy running the place was really friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Tea and coffee provided, as well as a kettle, toaster and microwave in the room (there's no restaurant or dining room, so breakfast in your room is the norm here, which I quite like). There's also a small refrigerator with milk and orange juice provided. I found that useful to keep my own food in as well. Bathroom is not ensuite and is situated down the hall, but again not an issue, and you get a bathroom to yourself. The shower worked really well and there was plenty of hot water available.

Meeting the owner, he was very warm and friendly. The location is beautifully situated. Extremely comfortable bed. Appreciated tea, coffee, milk etc upon arrival

The owner was very pleasant however, we did not see him again for the duration of our stay (2 nights). The breakfast was basic and I could see the room and ensuite was getting a little tired. Could do with some refurbishment but reasonably clean and tidy.

Decor was a little tired and the bathroom was separate so we had to cross the landing to use the loo in the night or fill the kettle for hot drinks. We tried to shower at 7.30 am but there was no hot water.

The private bathroom was separate to the bedroom so had to be accessed via a communal hall. The bedroom was very small and cramped.
