Nothing to dislike.

Found this little gem and was pleasantly surprised by all the little touches that the room had to offer. I had the executive single and it was plenty big enough. Tea/coffee facilities, fridge, bottles of water, biscuits, the bed was a 3/4 bed and very comfy. Iron/ironing board, sewing kit, tissues, the list goes on. The full English breakfast was amazing. Cooked to perfection and not greasy or fatty. The sausages and bacon were of good quality. It was perfect for my 2 nights stay away with friends and the location couldn't have been better. Rez the owner was the perfect host and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The Beechwood does not yet provide the luxury service and facilities one might expect at such as The London Dorchester, but I doubt The Dorchester could beat The Beechwood on value for money.

I have stayed at The Beechwood several times over recent years, and it is noticeable that the proprietor is always looking to improve his property and the service he provides.

The stairs were a bit rough after a long day of walking but that is not the problem of the b&b that's a problem of my weak joints! Felt like four flights but was only really two flights split into two by landings.

The room was comfortable and very clean, I tend to walk around hotels in socks and my white socks weren't discoloured one bit after my stay. The host greeted me at the door and he explained how the front door works and took me through a short sheet of paperwork. He then showed me to the room and guided me around all the while explaining how everything in the room works. He was very friendly and welcoming, he was also quite understanding that I wasn't up for much of a chat and just wanted to go straight to bed! The bathroom was perfectly clean and tidy, not a bit of mildew in sight. The shower got nice and hot and had good water pressure considering I was on the top floor of the building! It's a nice b&b and the room was snug but great for a solo stay, plus it's not far from the beach or the town centre so that's a double win!

Rez is an excellent host. He's friendly but professional, and he cooks a banging breakfast for an additional £8 each, which is worth every penny. Our room was spotless, and the whole place was clean and tidy. Location is ideally placed between coastal paths and the town centre with 2 lovely parks nearby. We were in town for a wedding, and the room had everything we needed, including a sewing kit! We both had a decent night's sleep and would definately stay again. Thanks Rez for a great stay. no.twin beds all double rooms, which was ok for us as we managed, mother and daughter, but might not suit everyone.

location is perfect for seafront, and lots of restaurant choice across the road.parking free right outside if you can get a space, but can park free overnight on nearby streets so not a problem.host Rez is a lovely man.very friendly and welcoming.nothing too much trouble.

Lovely bedroom, very tastefully decorated (quite a boutique style), spotlessly clean with nice added touches. Comfortable bed, cannot fault anything. Extremely yummy breakfast too. Rez was the perfect host, friendly, helpful and polite. He made us feel very welcome.

On arrival I was greated by the owner who is friendly and works really hard to ensure the hotel is spotless from top to bottom. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of variety and all produce freshly made, well worth the money. My room was very comfortable with all necessary items and it was the best sleep I had had in a long time, I literally melted in the bed, and it was so peaceful. I will be returning, a truly amazing hotel in a great location near all amenities.

This is a just a problem for me but lots of stairs, however, the host offered to move my room but it would not have been so convenient for being near family who were also staying. The breakfast room is very small but breakfast was good value for money but not included in price of stay. Bear in mind it is noisy at evening and night because it is in the heart of the seaside businesses.

The location was very good and easy to find although I was born in the town so know it well. The house was clean and tidy with a lot of attention paid to detail. The rooms are well equipped and bed very comfortable. My room was a reasonable size and contained a fridge which is unusual at B and Bs. Host was friendly and attentive.
